Wat is the point of organising these crappy things that cost us so much money???

singapore are making millions from these events and the more convention, exhibitions, conferences and meetings are in singapore, the better.
Any politics involved in this? again, don't jump into conclusion. -

our govt is trying get a headstart in opening up investments in middle-east. it doesnt hurt having good relations with them.

ok more than 8 yrs ago, some ppl/company in SG had went to Middle East countries and start doing their business where other SG-rean are following the GOV, heading to China.
the group of ppl always move ahead of GOV? why? and why GOV follow behind this group of ppl? can't be sure are they on the GOV/PAP side but for sure the big bucks are in their pockets much more eariler than the rest following behind.
one thing for sure, this group of ppl do not like SG politician. politician in SG will like you to share with him what you have but will not share with you what he has. best part is there is only 1 politician in SG. the rest are just working for him and his families.
this group of ppl are now moving back into Asia like Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia even Myanmar and our GOV now going into Middle-East.
well i think as a citizen of that country you just have to follow where you GOV lead you to, even when it down the cliff. -
