IOC Disappointment

The sound department at the IOC meeting screwed up big time. That is definitely a big disappointment for everybody who have put on a good show through out. What is most embarrassing is that when problems arise no one seem to have a clue know how to retify it.
My suggestion is that if we want to do something like this in future make sure we get foreign experts or professional consultation, not someone who try to be superman, saying on paper that he sleep 3 hours a day and does have time to even shower. -
Yup, especially during the host city press conference. The whole thing sounded like a cheap rock gig. However, with a conference of this magnitude, they are bound to be glitches here and there. It is just that the event organizers should have been far more efficient in retifying them.
That aside, I think the whole jamboree went pretty well. -
Somemore got IOC member forgot to vote 2 times... or rather too slow in voting.

Overall the whole thing seems all right to me except for a few points I hope the organisers can take note:
1. Try not to use too much technology, I mean not to use robots for the MC......wait ........oops, they are human speaking in robotics language.
2. Please spend some money to buy 3 music stand for the three poor singers of the Olympic anthems to place their notes.
3. Please get someone with a more pleasant look than our young sailor who pulled a long gloomy face as though the whole world owed her money throughout the whole ceremony. -
Sorry, one more thing to add :
4. There is something in the world known as wax seal. There is no need to super glue the result in the envelope. otherwise, for googness sake get a letter opener. -
it is not easy to host a major event, especially for a small country like us. all things considered i think they did very well.
there are bound to be hiccups.
do you believe other countries dont screw up at major events?

IOC voter = 120 plus
SSC staff & volunteers = 100 plus (not include those SQ volunteer)
home team = 1800 in raffles city convention centre
