Only 4 years for that killer on Singapore Road?

I have warned my children and friends that when you are driving on Singapore road, beware of those taxis and heavy vehicles like lorries!As I have a few nasty encounters with those taxis myself, and giving that killer 4 years behind bars is definately a deep disappointment for me and many road users in Singapore. He should be put behind bars for the rest of his life in order to send a stronger signal to those taxi drivers out there who enjoy terrorising other road users with their barbaric behaviours!
Is LTA doing something to double check those taxi drivers who misbehave on Singapore Road?To the Singapore immigration,"your security is our main concern",to LTA, is "your life is our main concern" their main slogan or 'your $$$into our ERPs is our main concern'? Looks like building more ERP gantries and determining how much more to increase are their main priority, what's more when they suggest that they are going to set up night ERP on Singapore road! -
Mostly taxis
Mabbe some will say i am generalising, but its still disturbing to see taxis, more often than other vehicles, dangerously move onto your lane without even any attempt at signalling.
I have never find the need to hold on to a handlebar above the car doors whenever my dad or frens are driving, but i have to do that most of the time in taxis... -
Well, the DPP can appeal to the Chief justice and the dua tao can up the sentence to the max...

Most of the reckless ones come from the two new companies..and some of them are equally prone to shooting their mouth off..makes me wonder whether they have undergone training to drive a taxi and have basic courtesy.

After reading up more into this case, I find that both parties are in the wrong.
The motorcyclist wanted to show off, the taxi driver got annoyed and over-reacted.
In my opinion, the cab driver should have at least attracted 6 years in prison, some strokes of the cane, and a lifetime ban from driving.
Well, the 6 years was not given, and the cane spared. I attribute this to the good work of his lawyer. -

Well.... 2 kind of vehicles I hate most
1. Lorry/Truck
2. Taxi
Normally these are the 2 main categories I wun give way to unless they signal.
The taxi drivers were "well-behaved" when the papers report their company's accident report. Now..... they are getting their old ways again. welll... at least for some of taxi drivers I saw on road.
Lorry / Truck drivers are HELL-riders. I have many times kanna truck drivers forcing their way into my path WITHOUT signalling . I honk & HONK... yet some of them continue into my path. Some may show signal after i din give way .And like that taxi driver, i saw some of them laughing & showing his nNn finger when they succeed.
C'mon... if U wish to change lane, at least show your intention early.... I normally give way to ANY vehicle who signal early. Dun suka suka change lane and expect others to give way. -

I can understand the thots running thru the rider's mind as i have had experiences that taxis cut into my path without a care, it just makes my blood boil.. These damn taxi drivers should be thought a lesson, Think all u s'poreans should just stop takong taxis for a month in protest for the current standard of taxi drivers, that'll wake up the taxi companies management and finally make them understand that we demand good service.
