NKF CEO's $25,000 monthly salary !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

just read e papers that his salary is 25k !!!!!!!!!!! plus bonus of many many months.....
n know where the NKF company gets their funds? its through the donations we given , e calls we made during all those shows..... wonder how much each call we give is actually goin to those needy and not to his pay?
these days , i rather buy 3 packets of tissue at 1 dollar from the handicap , 'cause i know e dollar will go directly to him, rather than to make calls to donate to e NKF.... not knowing how e money is being allocated. do we really need a 25k per month CEO to run a charity organisation ? n it will be interesting if he makes any calls during their donation shows ..... -

"The court heard that CEO Durai got a twelve month bonus last year. And between 2002 and 2004, he would have earned close to S$1.8 million. "
That will put Durai at 600k a year, or an estimated 50k a month.
The last time round the call for greater transparency of charity bodies went out, several heads of charity bodies expressed their willingness to open their books to scrutiny as well as publishing the earning of the top management. NKF was one of those who refused to publish the earnings of their top management, quoting privacy reasons - even when it's common practise for top management of listed companies to disclose their earnings.
Looking at the latest revelations I can begin to guess why NKF is so reluctant to disclose the earnings of their management. -
5 reasons why I terminated my donation last year:
1. You should say it's $500,000 per annum on top of bonus.
2. And he travels 1st or business class.
3. And the NKF building cost $21 million.
4. Not to mention the directors of NKF board...How much are they getting?
5. And the team of vultures called lawyers they employ to sue people.
There are more worthy charities to support:
1. KDF
2. Singapore Cancer Foundation
3. Salvation Army - 94 cents of every dollar you donate go to the beneficiaries. -
i will stop donating to nkf and i will tell people about this $1.8 million.

1 more issue. I made a few calls during last yr's NKF's show. Not having won any prizes is already quite an upset ( i admit i called because of the prizes ), i never even receive the coupons that are given for the calls i made

The battle between ST and the CEO of NKF will be a great battle to watch.
It will seem that this time the CEO of NKF has taken on a battle with someone who thinks they are as big as (if not, bigger than) himself and the NKF put together.
It is time for a match of equals after the CEO and NKF had bullied and obtained forcible apologies (in 2003) for fair public comments made by individual Singaporeans concerning his preference in travelling 1st or Business Class paid for by NKF.
The CEO is a lawyer himself, and is familiar with the legal processes, and is as adapt as MM LKY in using the law to silence critiques that pique their sensitivities and pet positions. -
Shat. I better check my POSB a/c now. I certainly dun wanna pay $3 to NKF every month!

Its not diffcicult to cancel the monthly donation if you're paying by GIRO. I just cancelled mine. If you're using DBS internet banking just go to Payments and do cancel GIRO arrangement.
I feel sick in the stomache to learn that I have been contributing to the national con job! Enough is enough !! -

The NKF Board members should all be replaced for supporting 10-12 months bonus pay over so many years. Did they deliberately raise the payouts so that they can get good fees too? It makes me sick.

(anyway she wasnt in good mood that day)
Sis : "Excuse me, how u get my number"
NKF : " Last time u donated , via your hp"... blah blah blah
Sis : " WHAT! U MEAN U TRACKED ME DOWN BASED ON THOSE CALLS"
........ "IS THAT HOW NKF DEAL WITH PERSONAL INFORMATION
.........IF I WANT TO DONATE I WILL. STOP HARASSING ME
they even got telephone operators to get ppl to donate
