any companies who pay their directors $25,000 must be making significant profits from their BUSINESS operations!! NKF is a CHARITABLE organisation, the money they received is not PROFITS, it is donation!!Originally posted by fai:$25, 000 is normal pay range for most directors in most companies, organisations and institutions. But buying a $1000++ toilet bowl and a golden tap under NKF's account is too much.....
Then again, I will not be surprised...Originally posted by crazy monkey:they are paid to do the job ....
he deny travelling first class and sue ppl for it. knnOriginally posted by sgdiehard:any companies who pay their directors $25,000 must be making significant profits from their BUSINESS operations!! NKF is a CHARITABLE organisation, the money they received is not PROFITS, it is donation!!
it is not too much for a Business director to buy a $10,000 toilet seat, for he is entitled to spend what the makes, but NKF directors are using money donated by the general public for those who are sick!! This is clearly an abuse of public fund.
I stopped NKF donation three yrs ago when my friend met the CEO on first class travelling. NKF has not business overseas, if the travel is necessary for meetings, why first class? many ppl todays are travelling for business on econ, not even business class.
Since then I have received several calls from telemarketers speaking non local english with strong indian accents. Twice they asked why did I stopped "helping the poor", they hanged up abruptly when I told them it was my decisions on how I help.
NKF is today a professional company, using the sick and poor, to appeal to the soft and sympathetic singaporean, in soliciting donation to achieve a financial target. There is no spirit and soul of a charitable organisation.
I have since donated to the Ren Ci Hospital, not much, but at least I believe the buddhists truely want to do charity.
If singaporean really want to voice our objection on such abuse, don't need to go on the street to protest, hoping to meet riot police, just stop donating to NKF for one year, patients certainly won't die as a result.
MLM is more honest as they outright tell ppl their story and ppl go in with eyes wide open.Originally posted by elektra:worse than MLM....

Why did the Government allow NKF to set up a new charity fund for Cancer, when there already exist the Singapore Cancer Society and the Singapore Children Cancer Foundation ?
From the current court proceedings in this NKF - ST Court Saga, it is now revealed that there are no government guidelines, or requirements for the full disclosure of accounting of such foundations that are funded by public charity.

I guess it's because a lot has to do with the fact that NKF is supposed to be a charitable organization where 2/3 of all Singaporeans supposedly donate to.Originally posted by laurence82:i have never seen such outbursts in sgforums b4
