any companies who pay their directors $25,000 must be making significant profits from their BUSINESS operations!! it is not too much for a Business director to buy a $10,000 toilet seat, for he is entitled to spend what the makes, but NKF directors are using money donated by the general public for those who are sick!! This is clearly an abuse of public fund.
I stopped NKF donation three yrs ago when my friend met the CEO on first class travelling. NKF has not business overseas, if the travel is necessary for meetings, why first class? many ppl todays are travelling for business on econ, not even business class.
Since then I have received several calls from telemarketers speaking non local english with strong indian accents. Twice they asked why did I stopped "helping the poor", they hanged up abruptly when I told them it was my decisions on how I help.
NKF is today a professional company, using the sick and poor, to appeal to the soft and sympathetic singaporean, in soliciting donation to achieve a financial target. There is no spirit and soul of a charitable organisation.
I have since donated to the Ren Ci Hospital, not much, but at least I believe the buddhists truely want to do charity.
If singaporean really want to voice our objection on such abuse, don't need to go on the street to protest, hoping to meet riot police, just stop donating to NKF for one year, patients certainly won't die as a result. -

there are many fools out there ...
like the ppl who donate to Huang Na and then kick a big fuss when the prc took the money back to china to live in luxury. or the ppl who now donate to the Kallang case prc girl where her own sister did not even bother to turn up. Maybe later when the money pool to a substancial amount, she will appear.
Ppl wills till continue to support this doubious group in the false belief that they are actually doing good and helping people. I only wait for the day durai has to answer for his actions. -

NKF twist the story, use emotional blackmail, cover up and scheme, use and abuse volunteers, etc. ppl donate with eyes wide closed not knowing fully they are being cheated both ends - ppl who donate and the patients under them. -

there are people paying themselves with the world highest salary from tax payer money. that has set off a poor set of example and a chain of 'greeds' right from the top!Many SGX listed companies trying to fool the investors by overstating the non existing profit in order to carry on pilfering and paying themselves(CEOs,Directors) with big fat salary! i guess NKF wants to 'steal' donator's money from other organisations. the same thing also happens to church nowadays. their motives: tap people's money to pay astronomical amount of salaries for their staff.
i think nkf shld not employ a not-so-highly experienced CEO that demands high salaries. nkf is, after all, an icon in singapore and donation won't dwindle so drastically because of poor management. this is not some kind of company that should retain their product's demand.
nkf will always receive donation as people see their honorable work. they need a CEO with passion for the people, not with power to negotiate higher wages.

When we see where much of our money has been going into, we get pissed. We did not give NKF money to buy expensive toilet fittings and give their heads huge 12-month bonuses. We gave the NKF our money so that other Singaporeans with kidney problems can benefit.
I will not deny that NKF has done a lot of good for a lot of people.
However, like it or not, this episode has severely dented the goodwill and charity of ordinary Singaporeans like you and I. -
These ppl got no conscience..... No humanity..... No heart.... Only greed and more greed..

I have heard that to get NKF to help also not easy.. you must fulfil ALOT of criteria before you are eligible for the subsidies. SUBSIDY hor.. they don't help all the way.. $1 treatment, you pay 80 cents they pay 20cents only horz.
[How credible I cannot confirm, but I have long ago heard of this.]
Still, I continued to donate to them via giro. But this is the last straw.
I really question the Board Of Directors. For the CEO to live like that, the BOD must have given the go-ahead. -
