The ah siao got paid 10~12 Mths of performance bonus EACH YEAR. Question is: WHAT DID HE PERFORMED? Scruntinizing vendor's quotation so that NKF bldg get equipped with the best ever lasting Tap? or for cooking up such good stories to mislead the public? Additionally I am equally interested to know who are the jokers who made up the board of directors who agreed to such payouts. They must have been each paid a tin of PEANUT oil....

BUT our dear Mrs SM did herself a bif disservice by commenting on the peanuts. Davinder Singh is also an MP. That makes him a cheng hu lang. Mrs SM is associated with NKF as its xx rep. yah lah. how can 600k be peanuts to a charity? aren't charities supposed to maximise every dollar's worth? unless this is a large business. but this is not a business, it is a charity. and the board should be questoned too. how can they be blind to such misappropriation??? such blatant departure from the spirit of charity?

How will the Mediacorp artistes feel now that they learn that while they perform like monkeys for NO PEANUTS, the "Chief" Patron of NKF is agreeable to feed her 'Big MONKEY" with peanuts worth $600,000 from the funds that they collect from the public ?
Was Mrs GCT trying to outdo Mrs LHL by being more brazen and audacious despite the high publicity for the dummy decision made in support of bad investments ?
Mrs LHL had claimed that she will do it again, if given the same opportunity to make a decision for the Government Funds to be invested in MICROPOLIS - (despite all good counsel given in advance) - which went bust and resulted in a loss of US$500 MILLION - (ex-Finance Minister Richard Hu had to defend the situation in Parliament by stating that it was alright to lose this amount as "learning fee" ) .
It seems that these "Tai Tais" of our Ruling Elite can be quite frivolous in their attitudes concerning public funds, having husbands who are similarly paid "Big PEANUTS" from money collected from the Public, and with the "BIG PEANUT" scheme being promoted and defended by the Singapore Supremo - MM LKY himself.
If this pervasive sense of outrage is felt by everyone except the Elite, who will continue to defend the mistakes made, and claiming it to be right - it reminds me of what the Supremo himself had once said of his fear that :
"a LIE that is repeated often enough can become the TRUTH".
The Ruling Elite has twisted this statement to their own advantage, by repeating so many 'lies' about those who opposed them, AND repeated these 'lies' often enough by all in the Ruling Elite (and repeated by their "Propaganda Machines" ), whatever is said by them will now be the 'TRUTH'.
The continuous "trickle down" process of abusing the dumb Public consciousness is quite complete now. -

There is not a single doubt that kidney patients have benefited from NKF during the past 36 years and there is not a single doubt too that NKF has prospered through the suffering of its kidney patients during the past 36 years!There is more revenue to 'golden tap' from the dying cancer patients, we wish that more suffering cancer patients can benefit from this new venture, not forgeting that the NKF cancer fund should prosper too in the years ahead!Good luck!

Already the NKF is sticking to its guns despite the revelations of mismanagement with its spokesmonkey, Michelle Ang, saying today that Durai wasn't given a chance to explain his side of the story and was forced to answer "yes" or "no" in court.
I'M THOROUGHLY amazed at the will to self-preservation some of the scums of earth possess!!!
They are also resorting to the dirty old trick of holding Singaporeans hostage by parading their patients in public and publicising sob stories of how the crisis in 1988 almost did them in and how if funds stop, patients will suffer.
SINGAPOREANS, Please tell your friends and families, these patients can go KDF. KDF can take over NKF's facilities and all those highly paid idiots at NKF can be retrenched.
NKF IS NOT THE ONLY CHARITY CATERING TO KIDNEY PATIENTS.
And a slowing down of donations will not affect NKF because it has reserves enough to last 30 years!!!!!
Finally, Singaporeans must keep up the pressure on them for them to remove all the scumbags and come clean with their finances. Richard Yong said that the directors are all volunteers who collect nothing in fees. Are we to believe this after all the lies from Durai?
Let us not rest until NKF can EXPLAIN:
1. What other side of the story is there to a $960 tap?
2. What other side of the story is there to 8 cars and a mercedes for Durai's wife's personal use???
3. What other side of the story is there to a shower built just for Durai with expensive bath mixer???
4. What other side of the story is there to 12 months' bonus? My CEO who founded one of the largest banks in the region didn't even get 12 months!!
5. What other side of the story is there to all the prevarications of Richard Yong and Gerard Chuah to the press?
Finally, if you see Durai's wife driving that mercedes, remember to spit at her. -
Don't worry about holding back your donations for the time being...
Remember.... they have enough funds to last about 30 YEARS!!!!!! The patients will not suffer unless they (NKF) withholds the funds and subsidies.
They (NKF) must be accountable for their actions and deeds..
Maybe the IRAS should be looking into this bonus/salary issue?????? -

What amazes me is that Michelle Ang clearly has no idea how a court proceeding is carried out. In court, during cross examination, your integrity is put on the block. You answer only what is asked of you and no more. If he wanted to tell 'his side of the story', he should not have thrown in the towel after 2 days, at which time michael khoo could have put him on the stand and Durai could then give his 'speech'. So he has only himself to blame for being naive.
Davinder Singh simply stuck to his task of ripping Durai's and the NKF's integrity to shreds. Durai put up an evasive front numerous times by refusing to answer a straight yes or no during questioning and his manner of response was clearly likened to that of a snake. At times, he was even flippant:

A lesson we can all learn from here is -
never get entangled with SPH (Singapore Press Holdings).
TT Durai made the worst decision in his life - sue Straits Times. To me, that is tantamount to suing the Government !
Anyway, I have no sympathy towards him even though the blame isn't entirely on him for his fantastic high salary. The entire board of directors (consisting of mostly very old folks) in NFK should take the blame. Government should sack them and replace them with younger people!
