PS: Correction to header. The ROT was reported in ST and subsequent withdrawn in 1998 after court ruled in favour of NKF board.
1992 was actually the yr when Mr Durai became NKF CEO.
We will never know the extend of this rot asince he held this post. -
So under the current proceedings which was probably impossible previously, does this guy get a refund?

What "rot" ???
This morning's news over Channel News Asia had a report that said Mrs Goh Chok Tong (the patron of NKF) had expressed her continued confidence with Mr T.T. Durai.
She also responded to a question concerning the payment of $600,000 to Mr Durai for his annual remunerations as being:-
"PEANUTS - especially for someone running an organisation that is handling millions of dollars a year and still have so many millions in its Reserves !!!"
This was repeated for a second time over TV at the 10.00AM news over Channel News Asia. -
If that was a full page apology, it cost something like >$3K.
And no, the likely outcome is that should the accused stake a counter-claim, then the courts are likely to uphold the previous verdict based on the fact that TT Durai indeed only started assuming 1st class flights only in the last 2 years.
Unless he has some hard evidence to prove otherwise.
This is a case of 'time is not on your side'. The law is meted out, but not justice. -

The fella who had to pay settlement should counter-sue to get his/her money back. It's gonna be hard and slow- even with black-and-white evidence on his side, but in my point of view he has a good case if he counter-sues to get his money back.
After all, its not like this "CEO" has no lack of money. He earns 600k every year as NKF CEO, and then he's a director of several prominent local companies as well. He's probably a millionaire. Paying money out will not hurt him very much- other than his overinflated ego of course. -

He fooled the justice system once, and he thought the same trick will works again
There surely more dirt underneath
How abt that chairman?
How much $$ he receive?
How abt the board of directors?
Is Durai pushed to the frontline so that other ppl can hide safely under his shadow?
Is the case close?
Is the authorities(gahmen) gonna take the lead into some form of investigation?
Will gahmen 'pressure' and intimidate ST to hush things down?
Is there a 'Public Counsel' in the judicial System? I believe the public will gladly fund him/her to get NKF open its account books.
What role Mrs GCT plays in NKF?
She is often being brought up in the news, because she is the wife of MrGCT.
She is 'suay', in that sense that ppl expected a prominant figure to say something sensible.
Why reporters never go interview the Chairman, and the whole bunch of directors?
What roles do those affliated companies of Durai play?
Is there a possibility that these companies 'overcharged' NKF for their services, so that Durai can 'legally' channel money to his own pockets?
It seems that gahmen do not wish to get involved in this case

Durai claim that it was some sort of mistake in reporting the wrong figures, be it the amt of reserves they hold, or the amt of patients they have
Anyone with a working brain knows that this is just a lie. An excuse.
The first year of reporting, may be a mistake
But how can one make the same mistake for the 2nd and 3rd year?
Isnt this a planned delibrate deceiving?

Come'on... to declare what 10 -12 mths bonus on public donations???
the $25000 monthly salary...ok, justified to retain and keep "top talent" to run the donation organization well...
the $21 m bldg...ok, justified to use as a "lure" of luxury to hire "top guns" to work in a 'not-for-profit' organization, to raise the standards expected (not work in a container...)...
but why so many months' bonuses??? how 2 justify?
because managed to rake in more donations so it was a great year, and therefore declare bigger bonus??? then by rite, the public should donate less becoz whatever we donated more (in hope of benefitting the needy) ended up as someone else's salary and bonuses! nope, i cannot begin to agree that this is justifiable....

To those who called NKF hotline to cancel ur monthly donations, pls confirm with ur bank to ensure.
My colleague called to cancel nearly a yr ago, but when he checked last mth, they are still deducting from his acc. -
