fark those nurse NKF subsidise patients so little yet give them Rolex !!! knnOriginally posted by M©+square:My aunt serves in the canteen near NKF headquarters, when those nurses ordered food from my aunt.
She noticed all nurses had a Rolex on their wrist. So out of curiosity, my aunt ask them if they earn alot. Those nurses got offended...so she explained that she saw all of them wearing rolexes.
Those nurses explained that it was a annual gift from NKF. End
My concern now is 1) whose money was used on these rolexes?
2) Could the supporters of Durai have other reasons to stand behind him? To me it is rather obvious why the fervent supporters.
Obviously leaving Ant K F has not allowed your brain to recover. May i recommend that you undergo dialysis for your brain?Originally posted by ra8865:I am not working for NKF anymore I still support Mr Durai and I know Truth always prevails. If you read the article you will know that the head of Red Cross was pressurised to leave as well because of the amount she earned and I am sure that's what we will do to heads of charity organisations. We don't want our charity organisations to be as good as our Profit organisations where we hold shares as we don't get direct dividends on it.
ya i think so also. but seem like now khaw take over they will just cover it upOriginally posted by M©+square:He was just a scapegoat.
I believe there is more to it.
How come MM didn't put his foot down to resolve this matter?![]()
This is so bloody sad. The money that was donated for those suffering and those images on television and those who testify on national TV shedding real tears.....ended up on nurses wrist.Originally posted by crazy monkey:fark those nurse NKF subsidise patients so little yet give them Rolex !!! knn![]()
maybe when he is at nkf he spend 4 hrs on nkf work and rest on his private interest !!! tats why need to OT so much. knnOriginally posted by OldAhPek:1) Durai have directorships in other business firms too. Therefore its not 100% dedicated as you put it.
2) These so-called business firms are dubious. Some that are being raised up, include "Proton web", "Bonyad Marketing Industries Pte Ltd(which he claim is an Irian Charity organisation. What a name.....)" and many other companies which he admit having a foot on with other directors but NO business activities going on. In another word 'emptyshell' companies. Whether he use these channels to divert $$ (legally or illegaly) for his own benefit, i do not know
3) There is a delibrate intent to deceive the public. White lie is also a lie
4) (reading the court transcript) There are lotsa other information that Durai refuse disclose. Which according toe Durai : "I cannot recollect", "Its not material"
5) (personal opinions) I hate people who keep ranting "Wo shi hao ren"
6) Professionalism isnt guage by how much time and effort you poured in.
Doing the thing right is totally different from doing the right thing.
7) As a lawyer himself, he plays around with words (read the court transcript), and try to bring out issues like "privacy", "I personally believe", "its unmaterial". "that is the way how we operate".

I'm more interested to know - Which volunteery fund raising organisation does that?Originally posted by laurence82:Another issue we all forgot to look at
There was this article which says Durai like to have saturday meetings with his staff where he would deliver his vision, well, of whatever the topic starter just said, akin to making NKF a world class organisation and sumthing like that
Is NKF already becoming a cult like organisation where peeps start to pledge loyalty to their leader?
Goodness....
Btw, can topic starter state >>>>which company<<<< exactly pay their CEOs $25,000 per month, together with 12 months bonus and all other luxuries?
Pls do state...
so its not only golden taps but golden watches as well. whole bloody org is rotten. dun anyone of them have a shred of conscience ? everyday parade the sick patients around to milk public sympathy while helping themselves to big fat bonuses at the same time. knnOriginally posted by M©+square:This is so bloody sad. Heard of the talk show in CNA last night?Originally posted by crazy monkey:so its not only golden taps but golden watches as well. whole bloody org is rotten. dun anyone of them have a shred of conscience ? everyday parade the sick patients around to milk public sympathy while helping themselves to big fat bonuses at the same time. knn![]()
Ok got your point.Originally posted by laurence82:what i try to do is to do a comparison
firstly, if a private company dont do that, that hell give no excuses for nkf to do that
and secondly, topic starter, i cant even rem his nick, state that durai works harder than some top paying CEOs...i wonder hoe he compare....![]()
another point he make - the pay of CEO shd not be peg to size of org or reserve. end of the day its a charitable org the amt of pay must be acceptable to the public.Originally posted by M©+square:Heard of the talk show in CNA last night?
The guy from Moral society actually subtlely displayed his displeasure on NKF too.
I have to agree that emotional branding and marketting of NKF really won the hearts of many Singaporeans. They succeeded.
Originally posted by BillyBong:i agree, it was nvr his pay and bonus, sim wong hoo etc...got more than him i guess. yet no one is questioning his pay and some even like sim and other rich ppl for their charitable acts.

You dun seem to get it do you?
The educated masses aren't disputing his 25K salary. They are neither doubting that he has done much charity work for NKF and probably brought NKF to the level it is now.
But it is his ethics and conduct throughout the proceedings that have drawn disgust, along with the evasive and dishonest side he showed regarding the 1st class airfare and 12-month bonus issues.
Afterwards, he did not step down of his own accord or unconditionally; instead, he asked for 'advice' on whether he should step down from Health Minister Khaw Boon Wan. Does that indicate he was still unwilling to do the 'right thing' as Vivian Balakrisnan observed?
The fact that he also preferred to harp on his achievements of the past 37 years instead of accepting the real reasons why he was 'forced' into relinquishing his post had [b]'brazen' and 'arrogance' written all over it. Clearly he is still in denial. He believes he has done no wrong and that as CEO of trustee's monies, he was 'entitled' to such creature comforts without weighing best value or consequence.
Legally, he is in the clear and perhaps he set out with good intentions. But he was devoid of humility and morality, and for a man running a charitable organisation, this was inevitable.
