"The chief executive officer and chairman of Ren Ci Hospital and Medicare Centre receives no perks or bonuses, earns $15,000 a month _ lower than the Durai yardstick but higher than most others in the field _ and most remarkably is willing to make it public."

The Doctor drives a Merz???Originally posted by timothytsgsg:If the Ren Ci Hospital have footed the majority of his bills and expenses through the fund, then I find no reason for him to get another S$15,000 per month.
True, it's different that they have decided to make it public. But for a monk to get so much and also considering he drives a Merc, I still think it's excessive. If he gets S$15k, then he must return back almost 99% of it back to the Hospital. It's the patients and the blue-collared employees and volunteers, not the head monk, who should get the benefits from the majority of the donated funds.
you didnt know?Originally posted by shade343:The Doctor drives a Merz???

i agree 1000%Originally posted by Cindyfeh:So what are the lessons learnt?
First, the money you donate ends up paying high salaries to charity staff.
Second, the gov is not doing enough to support charities and expect the general population to donate (i see it as a form of alternative tax)
I am not going to donate a single cent unless its tsunami or some surprised diaster. I am keeping what i will be donating to fund my own insurance. In Singapore, it's everyone for himself. AND MONEY talk bigtime!
I doubt the car belongs to him. Most likely it is the property of his organisation.Originally posted by dragg:he drives a merc.
