Regretably, SDP CSJ seems to be getting the brunt despite his efforts to help Singaporeans to improve our lot.
His style and delivery maybe 'unpolished' but at least he is one with a tertiary education, who is prepared to sacrifice his career to enter politics.
It is surprising that while we can forget the pains that are inflicted on us by the Ruling Party, we will not forget the mistakes of SDP CSJ - and with those mistakes not affecting us in the same manner as the painful policies implemented by the Ruling Party.

dunno in what tho'
Is it so surprising that NUS had rejected CSJ, who then had to pursue his degree course in Psychology from an overseas university ?
How many students in Singapore, who could not manage a pass in Mandarin, and were rejected by NUS or NTU ?
How many qualified Polytechnic Students were rejected by NUS and NTU, but are welcomed to pursue Degree courses in overseas Universities, and with their Polytechnic Diploma accepted for a shorter tertiary course ?
Is it NOT surprising that NUS having rejected CSJ, would then employ him as a Lecturer after he obtained his degree from OVERSEAS ?From the declarations made by CSJ, it is only unfortunate that CSJ refused to listen to his Faculty Head, who is a Senior Member of the Ruling Party, and proceeded to join the SDP instead of joining the Ruling Party.
For this, CSJ was thrown out of the University on a charge of cheating the tertiary institution with his claims for reimbursement of taxi fares, which was claimed to have been inflated by a Two or Three dollars.
This charge can only be seen to be pettiness, as the travel claims was approved by the Faculty Head more then six months ago and prior to CSJ joining the SDP. The charge can only be seen to be more petty in the fact that different routes taken by the taxi, and different hours of the day with different traffic conditions, can surely affect the taxi meter and the amount by exactly the difference that was being disputed.
The other charge against CSJ, was that he had used university funds for postages to send his research papers that had included his wife's research papers as well. CSJ had claimed that his wife's research was needed to back up his research, and that it was common practise for reference to be made on the work done by others, especially when it is collaborative.
Again, the funds were already approved for disbursement by the Faculty Head a few months before the relationship between them was reported to have deteriorated after CSJ declaration to enter politics with the Opposition Party.
All these issues were raked up after the election, and with the expenses already approved long before CSJ had declared his intention to join SDP.
