What a Farce not a face. Both are yes men of establishment just to give some semblance of legitimacy to the elected presidency. After Ong Teng Cheong was set aside by the establishment for trying to practise accountability and transparency of assets, the elected presidency office is now in doubt.
So it is now quite farcical to elect any more president. It is part of the farce to offer you two to choose one both unacceptable - hopson choice or no choice. -

This is image for the people. To show to the world, he needs to put on tie and jacket, and probably some make up.
If president is appointed and not elected, sure got complain. If only one candidate and walkover sure got complain also. Now we have a choice, should not elect him based on his look, too early to see if he can speak well and too early to judge if he could bring greater accountability and transparency of our assets. Too early to conclude that he is not acceptable or is this a farce.
Give him a choice, or do we have a better choice?? -
Frankly, I don't like his face. Looks too "arrogant" and "proud" to me.
But looks are deceiving. What's important is the quality.

Actually I agree with you. During his term, other than shaking some hands of delegates and Singaporean, he did nothing.
I recalled that there was a petition calling for the government to stop the casino. Probably the petition with my name on it ended up as toilet paper clean up his ass.
