Why President Election on Saturday.

  Can tell me why huh???... me need to sleep n rest on Sat leh... y not on weekday and declare public holiday

  oh yeah.. to schedule an entire presidential poll around you?
  
  saturday is when people have half days or their day off.. this is to minimise the disruption to the daily affairs of the country...
  
  i gotta go find out from my admin how my staff are supposed to go vote if they are scheduled to do OT that day...
  
  p.s. it is a public holiday on election day

  ITs a silly question I posed of cos as a selfish Singaporean... as it so happen Saturday is my off day suppose to spend it with my loved ones ... now need go voting very sian loh waste time and money need to take bus , Q up etc etc... in the end we alr know the outcome Nathan sure win y waste our time to go polling

  The government said that the elections is a step to achieving democracy which puzzles me whether it is really like that a not

  IMHO its a scam... 1st PM Lee announced 5-day work week, then now Presidential Elections will be held on Saturday. I think the next GE will be on Sat as well!! Good luck

  Ya lor almost surely Nathan will win cos Singaporean dont want to be called a racist. Plus, most will vote for an incumbent leader because there's no need for a young and fiery one when the Lee family are in control.
  
  Lastly, How much is President earning per year? 81 year old already still want to stand for election, the prize money must be a lot.
