Casino jobs may all got to FT

  Think about it. If we want to attract tourists to our casino, we need to have FT so that they may be able to speak and communicate better and give Singapore a tourist image. For now i can only envision the joy SPGs are preparing for.

  Wont be so kua zhang.... we dont need FT for sweeper/cleaner
  alot of us can communicate well with ang mohs too
  FT in initial stage, is very likely since we really do not have any experience in casino operations. Things will change after a period of training
  
  anyway, when can apply for a post in casino?
  sound exciting. I dont mind working a few years there

  Absolutely not!! The government has justified the casinos by talking about the thousands of jobs they will create. If we have to accept the negative social impact of casinos, then the least they can do is to reserve casino jobs for Singaporeans.

  It wont happen. because singaporean is not up to the mark. The customer service here sux everyone knows. U dont want a bespectacled guy with spikey hair who looks and talks like a fcuked up BMT recruit if u are the casino employer. when he talk have singapore slang how? To attract tourists we need to have the caucasian las vegas chics with busty body and sexy legs here. Singapore gals with small botom and chest wont make it lah! I can only envision SPG hanging about trying to fullfill Ang Mo asian sexual fantasy aka "geylang"

  Given the liberal S-passes MOM is issuing to foreign workers, very soon the whole Singapore is going to be flooded with foreign workers competing for all jobs available to the locals.
  
  Civil service costs remain very high and the highly paid positions are filled only by certain people meeting certain criteria. S-passes application forms are open and there are no criteria to ensure that the locals would get certain "first bites of the cherries".
  
  For a few dollars' difference, or relationship reason, the employers who are MNCs might just hookwink the MOM into issuing passes to favored choices from MNCs' countries.
  
  IR is a special government pet project. S-passes will be issued even more liberally !!!
  
  Citizens are being told not to expect hand-outs, welfare..Now they are being told not to expect job opportunities. Instead of carrying on all these past pro-foreign policies, government should learn how to be more pro-people, entrepreneurial and creative in looking after the citizens' wellbeing.

  I said earlier, it wont happen. When the casinos open, all the MNC will jump into the picture and do things just like what NKF did- outsourcing to India Call Centres.
