Over the National Day celebration, PM Lee has just lambasted presidency wannabe for his previous job changes and emphasised on the importance of transparency.Originally posted by crazy monkey:http://forums.delphiforums.com/sammyboymod/messages/?msg=79160
Welcome to the new NLB and welcome to the new CEO.
This CEO competes well with Durai in terms of taste. The CEO's office is either at the 14th or the 15th floor.
He has his own toilet. dont know whether it has gold plated taps. From all accounts, heard that it was expensive as well.
And he has his own private garden next to his office. The entrance to the garden is through his office only and is not accessible to anyone else. The garden and landscaping show his expensive taste.
The carpet in his room had cost $80000. After having spent months making the selection, the CEO doesnt like the carpet. So, this carpet is going to be replaced. No one knows what the new carpet is going to cost.
The CEO is also not happy with the glass door to his office and to the garden. He wants them changed. The changes to the furnishings and fittings will cost the NLB an addtional S$50000.
I wonder whose money are they spending?
Contrast this with the office of a Fortune 500 CEO's office that I visited last month. The company follows a cublicle policy and the CEO's cubicle is just a tad bigger than the cubicle of any engineer or manager in the company. The only luxury the CEO enjoys is that he has 3 cubicles called the CEO's office-- one where he sits, in another he has important meetings, and the 3rd one he uses for exercise and relaxation. The CEO is a workaholic and typically spends 12-14 hours at his office.
I hope someone drills some sense into the Government CEOs that they are custodians of tax payers' money and be frugal in their approach.

I guess the unemployed in s'pore has too much free time stalking the CEO.
how about stalking each and every one of them to find out the truth?Originally posted by Atobe:When the Straits Times have so much time stalking the Singapore minions, who is looking at the Elites ?
Surely, reports of wrong doings cannot be about the minions only ?
The question to the Ruling Party a.k.a the present Singapore Government - concerning GIC and GLCs transparency - has been asked many times over, and the response has always been evasive.
The other branches of the Elite Services in the Statutory Boards, Civil Services, and GLCs are learning the extravagant habits of the Ruling Party, and balking with similar style of evasive answers when probes are made.
With so much cash in the Singapore Reserves, the new attitude has now changed to one of - "We can AFFORD IT, so WHY NOT ? ".
No wonder, a sum of $600,000 is small change, even 'PEANUTS'.
Not getting... Probably has always been... Just in different styles and patterns.. But the ULTIMATE QUESTION should really be...Originally posted by LittleTiger:hahaha.... seems like spore is getting more and more currupted.... maybe someday even worst than out neighbour countries?
Or they are idoilised the neighbour and set them as example?
