It has affected me a lot,maybe materialism is the trademark of a 3rd world country coming into it's own?eg Japan after WW2?ehehe

Well, guys, what to do?
We have a government which talks about money but money. We're so helpless & they're so strong. As such, most people here just follow the wind! I think this place is too small that you're not given many choice in what you want or prefer to be. -
In this country where everything need money, we got no choice but to grap every chance we had to make money. Starting from birth, hospital bills are high. Education fees are high. University fees are high. Money is far too important to even maintain a normal lifestyle for the whole family, let alone living in good life.

Many people I know rushes out to land themselves into a new installment plan once they have paid the last one.
.. and these are the same guys who wail about money not being enough all the time.
