the "motto" of our Ministry of Education...
the word "mould" has proved that MOE want the students to be wat they want them to be...
when they WANT us to be creative...they cut syllabus by 10%-30% so tt they can incorporate thinking skills into the curriculum...
when they WANT us to be computer/internet-savvy... they make computer programs and internet sessions compulsory...
when they WANT us to master the art of mathematics...they introduced abacus to poor lower pri sch kids who get their fingers tangled...
when they WANT to make chinese easier to learn since young...they make HanYu PinYin part of the chinese syllabus...as usual..the poor pri sch kids suffer...
when they WANT chinese to "learn their roots"...they came up wif Project B for sec sch and JC students who "cannot make it in chinese" (aka those kentang) and increase intake of higher chinese ppl by 10% (frm 10% to 20% of the entire student population)
when they WANT to reassess the A level examinations...they throw in a whole lotta plans and policies...more project-based... more thinking skills and wat not...
