usually....most ppl tot abt the capabilities between different countries...but lets tok abt sumtink internal.NCC,being a paramilitary force...may or may not contribute 2 singapores defence n so goes 4 the NPCC...any comments?
NCC and NPCC comprises of KIDS. I Don't feel too good about sending them to fight the enemies. BUt they have duties to help civillians in times of trouble with civil defense roles.
i haf heard sum suggestions 2 abolish this 2 cca...but even den....it seems that the army do depend on this ppl more when they serve NS.
Yup! Which is why they will never abolish it.
basket, NCC and NPCC sucks nowadays, i WAS an NCC cadet though, last time when you get a scolding or punishment from NCOs, you can only accept them quietly, now when you try to scold or punish them, they say "eh, we got human rights one hor, later i lodge a complaint against you then you know ar". Man, i really wonder what's the use of having NPCC and NCC anyways, they were meant to train the boys, now, they're supposed to be worshipped, cannot scold cannot punish, what kinda CCA is this sia!
You'll be surprised. Army also more or less liddat. Most NCOs don't really tekan their troops anymore. I listen to my uncle talk about his NS days, can laff. Because he was from arty, had to carry motar. So his NCO tekan them by making carry the motar above their heads and go running.
After that they went for some advanced infantry training course. The NCOs there tried to tekan them buy askin them to carry M-16 above their head and run... my uncle and his platoon mates laffed to death. They volunteered to carry 2 M-16s instead. ONE in EACH hand.
I mean, those days, I say the troops were tough. I'm worried about what will happen if we send our current batch of troops to war. How would they take it psychologically.
I was in NPCC, i remember sec1, NCO made us do 50 pushups. We just did it. IN the end, he ask us, " You know why you kena pump anot?" We all blur blur, dunno. He said "Because i happy!" It maybe sian, but it sure beats having cadets talk back to NCOs.
