They've just gone from prude to crude.
What's wrong with good clean fun? Do we REALLY have to invite , vice potential? Of course there is always vice potential but I take no pride in the fact that my country has so blantantly allowed the building of an IR. IR they may call it but it may jtus cause Singapore to dwindle into a society of bad debts.
THere are many other ways we can have fun, without having to throw caution into the wind. I'm disappointed that we just succumed, instead of raising the standard. -

If we ban sale of cigarette, are we going to impose death penalty if caught trafficking them? 
Even before we started reclaiming our land, we have beach at Changi. If my memory did not fail me, my mom almost drowned trying to save me from drifting away on a float some decades ago. We use to go there every weekend, and I rememberred we had a lot of fun
...albeit that incident.
As for the ban on sale of cigarettes, no death penalty but definitely must impose a fine and/or jail sentences

I think it will be more economical for the goverment to give our oxygen mask for people like you than to impose a complete ban on cigarette sale and smoking.
