responding to the taiwanese or abdul gahni, or even mahathir, will be the most stupid thing to do and it has nothing to do with patriotism.
Any show of patriotism within singapore is for show to the government and will not achieve anything.
The need to show patriotism arises mainly when we are overseas. do we defend our country or do we join in their criticism on singapore? How many people there will know about singapore's internal affair to join in a meaningful discussion about our problem with the PAP, the government, NKF...... You will most likely end up hearing a lot of priases about LKY.
For those who are not proud of or patriotic to singapore, I wonder how do they respond when asked in a foreign land, "where do you come from?" Singapore?? and then say I am not happy with that country and I am migrating? watch the response when you give this kind of answer.
There is no need to give the ruling party the wrong impression and there is no need to wash dirty linen in front of outsiders. Lets show our patriotism at the right place, the right time. -
I agree with Nelstar. We should not behave like the primates when provoked by them. If the provocation is serious enough let the MFA respond professionally as they have always done.
Johor is not our equal. So we should smile at their MB's remarks and not respond at all. Nobody is taking him serious. By responding to him, we will be giving him weight and we should not. -

We don't even need to walk and demonstrate like they do. Ridicule them, make them your daily entertainment, enjoy lives while they are bent on hatred. Let them be hateful, we shall permit ourselves to indulge and laugh at their stupidity. We can share online jokes about how stupid these morons can be.
Persuade their fellow countrymen to think that their country is badly plagued by idiots. Let their more intelligent folks realized their fruitless efforts which make them a laughing stock of others. Let them fellow countrymen feel ashamed.
That will be paying the greatest tribute when you have people from their shore speaking up for us.

How about putting up Singapore flags at every corner of streets and buildings like other country in Malaysia and etc. Like that we can show our patrioism to our country and let foreigners know that we care for our country deeply. Still want world peace.
