The Politicians in the Ruling Party has taken the easiest way out to bring about law and order, and to ENFORCE the Law onto Singaporean Society.

Anyone below 50 years old - and medically fit - can be subject to such form of corporal punishment.
Will you believe that this form of punishment is also extended to an INNOCENT and ILLITERATE home owner for UNWITTINGLY letting out a room to an illegal immigrant, who present false documents that are cleverly "manufactured" ?

yeah i agree with atobe... recently a death sentence was handed to 2 african men. i think one of them is 19 years old. someone told him to pass medicine to someone here in Singapore. The medicine is HEROIN. i really pity the boy coz he's not educated and didn't know the stuff he's carrying brings death sentence.
I suspect Singaporean drug dealers are leveraging on people from impoverish nations to smuggle drugs into singapore...
Imagine u are born in a impoverish nation, u are not educated. You don't know anything about anywhere. One day someone comes up to you and offer a job in a foreign country. You happily carry the luggage packed by your "boss" and board the plane. When you reach the airport, some guy in a uniform ask u to follow them. A few days later u end up in court and recieve death sentence.
