Is it justified to increase NTUC union membership fee?

I am surprised that the NTUC union membership fee is going to be increased. I can't understand why they have such a posh building in Marina and yet said that they could not cover the cost.
Maybe they should lease out the building and shift to a place with lower rentals. i don't see why union members have to subsidy the comfort of a few staff. -
and the increase in fees could have been offset by the expensive-looking flyer they sent to every member to explain the increase in fees

NTUC's Fairprice ventured into M'sia a few years ago. See what happened? They can't make it there? Why? Obviously, they do not have the support of then Dr M's gov. They can only take adv of S'poreans. Membership got extra discount lah, link card lah, end of year rebate lah... But their price is not any lower? (Go check out Shen Siong's prices). They call themselves Fairprice? Are they really fairprice or milking the cash cow?
Shen Siong has been opening branches after branches. The latest in Clementi West. In a few more years, see if NTUC can still survive if they don't review their strategies?

The best part I heard is that the increase in membership fee is to help the poor. WHEN HAS THE UNION BECAME A CHARITY ORGANISATION?!!!
Previously, I tried a few times to withdraw my membership but there were many red tapes and discouragements. And now THIS INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP FEE!!! -
