It is sad but true that our manufacturing sector is not powered or facilitated by an economic master plan identifying strategies to compete in the globe. Smaller and smaller mobile harddisk are taking over the reign in computers. It is increasingly popular and will propel our growths in manufacturing of computers and telecommunications.Originally posted by Archirodon:I don't think they will ever admit their faults. When did LTA bosses make any public apology after the public inquiry where they were held partially responsible? They just point the fingers at scape goats.
Surely we remember the NKF saga. Even the shameless Durai refused to resign until there were more than 40,000 petition signatures. He got the guts to sue others for his lavish spending of donors money. Retribution is coming to him! We also have the some counsel of social service. What checks have they placed on such charitable organisations where they can squander donors $$$? Will they responsible Ministry admit their faults? Never lah.... It's always others. They will just sit and claim credits when there is any or are there any?![]()
Our gov thinks too highly for themselves. Nicoll highway, LTA and the gov thought of no fault on their side, instead pushing all blames to contractor; yet bloodly hell enaged ''famous'' lawyer to fight for their case also.Originally posted by Archirodon:I don't think they will ever admit their faults. As usual, this Aug output is rocketing sky high again, drawing no reference to the early trend from June and July. Taking a closer look, our electronic sector growth is still dwindling and risk falling behind the Taiwan, Korea and China. Worst of all, the Samsung new high capacity (at least 16GB) Flash DRAMs are now threatening our barely surviving Hard Disk Industries in 2006. This is surely a bad news for our HDD indusrties, as there are at least 10K Singaporean working in this sectors. At least, the news will act as a push factors for the large MNCs to go for cost reduction. Since rental, electrical and water cost is FIXED, so the only cost to look at is the usual Labour Cost.
But in 2006, the electronic sector are expected to recover and a high single digit growth is expected (about 6-9%). However, our "strong" electronic industries has yet to catch up with the other powerhouses in the Far East.
On the bright side, the property market is slightly crawling out of the deep shit hole. New or old properties in CBD area are now expericing a "better than average" selling price. Our heartland HDB flats hopefully can catch the wave LATER, but dun know when. We can expect the election to be annouced real soon, hints are already given out the gov. Expect the Sg stock market to go for a minor correction before boosted by the election effect and "good growth rate" reports. Sg economic will go for a anti gravity stunts against the dragging effect of the ever rising oil prices.
Stay tune and open your eyes, and welcome to the Magical World of Singapore! Cheers!!
How do you expect local shares to rise much with all high expenses on ridiculous high land costs, utilities bills, taxes, gst, statutory administration charges, everything about money. Even our plastic identity card after wear and tear needed to change also charge so....expensive.Originally posted by archon1234:To be fair, there are really some good man in our government. What is this so call NC of scoial service doing? Stop funding the Visually handicap association. What are they trying to proof? They are in check for charities who spent donors $$$?Originally posted by Archirodon:We also have the some counsel of social service. its because of the cannibalism of covered warrants that kill many out of play counters. Covered warrants is useless and have to direct value to companies. its as good as gambling. issuers and SGX and stock brokers make the money and players are left dry in the end.Originally posted by Lowclassman:How do you expect local shares to rise much with all high expenses on ridiculous high land costs, utilities bills, taxes, gst, statutory administration charges, everything about money.
