1) Full and free medical care for all senior citizens.
2) Free transportation for all senior citizens.
3) Reduced ministers salaries.
4) Free education, including books, up to JC for all citizens -
1. more jobs for the local is needed
2. lower the income tax as we are paying a lot of GST already
3. lower the business related taxes NOW or more companies will run away from singapore and more jobs will be LOST!

Ultimately, the land costs, high rentals, expensive utilities bills, statutory boards' administrative fees, stamp duties, expensive fuels. Expensive houses, utilities bills, expensive living costs, everything is %$%$%$%$%$ even hair cutting every month also have to pay with %$%$; these resulted locals seeking for higher salaries inorder to maintain and upkeeping of our ''properties'' 99 years leased and our livelihood. -

Whatever "goodies" given before GE, once "mandate" given, will every goodie (and more) be taken back after GE? What's the real mandate behind the mandate har?

What goodies?? For every cent they give they take back a dollar. Time to wake up man !!

1. No more re-drawing of electorial boundaries.
2. No contemptuous defamation suits against alternative party members for stating their position and criticising the govt's. (unless they use vulgarities and such)
3. REAL solutions that actually solve REAL problems. (ERP does not solve road congestions)
4. A more forthcoming and caring govt (handing down SP vouchers directly to GRC and Ward MPs rather than through their own Ruling party which constitutes a political move)
5. Receptive and FIRST CLASS govt (one that accepts critcism and suggestions from the people) -
1. 50 percent reduction in all minister's and mp's pay.
2. Abolishment of lifetime pensions for ministers and mps.
3. Limit of 2 terms for the positions of prime minister and any cabinet minster
4. Better selction process for ministers and mps(i.e. hire people of integrity who do not only care about money) so they will not turn to corruption after points 1,2 and 6 are implemented.
5. Abolishment of nonsense appointments like senior minister and minister mentor.
6. Reduce the number of directorships mps are allowed to hold.
7. Impose stiff penalties on local public transportation companies for their lack of social responsibility and cheating commuters of their money via erronous ezlink deductions.
8. Reprimand the current members of the public transport council for failing to do their job to ensure singaporeans do not get robbed by public transport companies operating in a monopolistic market. Sack all of them and reform the council with new members, half of whom must not own a car or drive to work.
9. All Singaporeans to be treated equally. No special treatment for any race or ethnic group.
Thats all I can think of right now.

As for (1), (2), (4) and (5), it would probably be wishful thinking.

Do more for the middle income families esp those with kids & aged parents.
The poor got Comcare, the rich can take care of themselves. The middle income (sandwiched generation) are the worst off cos education, healthcare, cost of living keeps rising but their income is stagnant.
Also give more to handicapped, elderly & housewives with little CPF.
Make sure no conditions attached like having to top up $50 first. -

On one hand they introduce loads of ERP...on the hand making COE dropping like hell...All their objective always affecting the poors and the average...where with no impact on the rich......and they are people own the most cars. freaking government is the word -

If you are the only child in your family and your wife only daughter in her family, and you have two children, and if you have to pay for your HDB, ...wouldn't it be fair if you and your wife spend valuable time with your folks without worrying about money??
What if one of the folks suffers from dementia, the other wheelchair bound, and ....plus many kinds of illnesses that come with age? wouldn't it be nice if the government play their parts in taking care of the seniors?
why only the ministers given free medical benefits after retirement, didn't the seniors contribute to the nation, during their hey days??
Is our government a government with a heart? right now I see only efficiency, profitability......

They are the elite ma...we are mere dust.. -
1) Give back all Singaporean kids their deserved childhoods and stop making all schools and the educational system in Singapore a pressure cooker which wrecked domestic harmony and cordial family life!
2)Allow car with at least one HDB season car park ticket to park for free in any HDB carparks in Singapore from 8am-5pm during weekdays.
3)Lowering road tax charges as petrol tax and coe are already in place to restrict ownership and ERP is also in place to restrict usage!
4)Replace promptly those ministers who sleep on their jobs to ensure top efficiency in the public administration!
5)Restrict top management executive(ie director, CEO)to one company only to prevent abuse and conflict of interest, unless related companies are self-owned.
6)Lowering of HDB commercial units' rental to help struggling businesses! Overheads in Singapore are definately too high and many are struggling to keep themselves afloat! Furthermore it may prevent further exodus of manufacturing plants! -
