I'm just thinking..
Why would any government welcome immigrants with such open arms, as seen in SG? Where's the quality control? Surely there is a reason behind these "unusual" actions.
Because our birth rate is decreasing and thus we need immigrants to fulfill our need of having a 7-8mil population? I think there's more than meets the eye.
Could it be part of their sinister plan to use these immigrants to increase their vote count, since these immigrants would obviously be grateful to them, and since it is quite apparent they are losing their touch with the younger generations of Singaporeans?
Why would our dear minister declare publicly there may not be any opposition wards in time to come? Over-confidence, or an alarming reality?
A plain coincidence? Or a complex scheme? You decide.
Just my thoughts.
Our minister is confident that there may not be any opposition ward to come is not because of the influx of immigrants coming, like u suggest, but think about it:
Chiam See Tong is almost 70. How long can he continue?
Chee Soon Juan talks more than he actions.
JBJ is a bankrupt and basically cannot connect with the people anymore. His election issues are kinda out of touch with reality.
The opposition is not coming out with new guys of any calibre. They are mostly ordinary singapore citizens like u and me. CEOs and big names won't join the opposition. In a country where people are more likely to vote for u if u are well-known, how do u expect them to win a ward, let alone a seat?
