The fight dengue ministerial committee recomends removal of gutters in govt structures and bannig gutters for future constuction projects. It seems the committee thinks gutters are redundant and can do without them.Doesn't the committee take a drastic measure?
Gutters are use all over the world.Do they have problems too?Has the committee look into why gutters get choked in the first place?
I say don't blame gutters, blame ppl who use them.Doesn't the govt always tell the ppl to take responsiblities for themselves.Govt, don't take the easy wasy out pls!
Typical Sg gov.....ask them to do a survey and check on mosquitoes breeding ground in Botanical garden, old estates with bird nest fern growing high up on tree trunks, ponding grass verges, choked drop in-let chamber along all road side of singapore.
Especially prolonged rain days; water gets stagnant and creates chances for mosquitoes breeding and developing into adult mosq. in just 6 to 7 days of
prolonged raining.
I was one of the dengue victims awarded in Changi Hospital last year.
Don't just wayang showing their ass around.
