This morning, for the first time in my entire life of taking train, I experienced a breakdown in the air-con of the train.
And hey presto, the breakdown took place in none other than an NEL train run by the "venerable" SBS Transit...
which harks back to the time when many a times, many poor commuters had and still have to put up with faulty air-con systems in SBS buses in the humid and hot weather of Singapore...
which makes me wonder if this is not a side-effect of SBS' cost-cutting policy, or perhaps...
IT BOILS DOWN TO PLAIN INCOMPETENCE.
And whoa, I just realised I'm paying more to take the NEL...OUT OF NO CHOICE because some smart aleck at LTA:
(1) miscalculated the ridership of the NEL; and
(2) thought having a "dirverless" system = innovation and progress.
WHY are you always saying SBS not fit to run NEL
So you are saying SMRT run better? With 7-9 mins frequency during off peak vs 6 mins for NEL?
How many times must I say? SMRT trains are by right driverless as well, only that NEL now also controls the dwell time
