Tertiary education in singapore need to be changed

how to perform in he outwide world without the basic knowledge acquired through theory work?

That means for every topic or subject, students should be able to come out with an application, designing a complete products or service able to meet marketing criteria. This latter application aspect of learning will lead to creativity among student. It is suggested that such education system should be run in pallelel to examination and class works.
Those who apply their knowledge even for conventional learning like in IR or cooking will go further than students who merely accomplish class works. The practical broad-based education will produce more innovations and at the end entrepreneurship among students so that when they graduate they are likely to start a business. -
I would very much agree on this. Tertiary education serves many purposes, one of which is research. They are training people to be researchers in future and a researcher has to be "grounded" in theory first. Calculus. Linear algebra. Probability. Matlab. These are the basics required for many practical real world applications. -

When you go out and work .. you start from scratch. Come on, schools don't teach you many things. Even the stuffs we do in school .. so artificial and canned. -

MBA is masters for postgrads, usually you need a degree before you embark on an MBA. Mainly for people who wish to pursue a phD. But some unis offer by invitation, postgrads direct entry to phD, so you can skip the MBA, but of course you need to show excellent results.
