In order not to hurt Straits Times readership I foresee SPH will influence Today not to go beyond a certain limit in its independence in presentations of news and views.
I have sent a critical letter once and it was not published. Subsequently I toned down and it was published.
Truthful and objective opinions about sea platform will not be published as posted in this forum. I doubt Today will publish them?
Government has controlled freedoms of expressions to the extent that no one not even Today will ever publish anything that may dent the authority of the government.
For example, all the news published about NKF were very mild with ministers showing good posture in controlling the issues when the real fact is NKF might be just a tip of the iceberg or hidden policy excesses like unnecessarily high salaries of chosen people and big reserve. This kind of truth were avoided in our newspapers. The postings about 20 major policy errors will never be published.
You are right~! Are censorship is worldclass. This I won't denied.
