Should government reciprocate and be loyal to citizens too?

There is such a thing called loyalty, For the past many years, our government has forgotten about loyality to its own citizens.
There would be a lot of talks about open economy, competitiveness thereby invitations to all foreign companies and foreigners to share our limited businesses and jobs.
Has the government ever once considered that citizens have needs and expectations. They need opportunities and exposures which were given to foreign companies and foreigners. If foreigners can come in the name of competitiveness and take away anything, what would be the value of being citizens? Should citizens be loyal to government if government is not prepared to be loyal to its people.
At least if government really wants to keep the economy open so that it will be more competitive, there should also be preserving or some basic safeguard against abuse by employers of some opportunities for citizens,
Do we have any ministers looking into how to create and preserve some opportunities for its own citizens and businesses.
People have given loyality to government but government has not returned loyalty to the people. It is time to change past pro-foreign policies to demonstrate to citizens that government while it wants to keep the economy open and competitive will not sacrifice the people's interests. -

Gov has been very loyal to singaporeans and PR, esp males. If you are neither, you can beg, protest, demonstrate or even petition, you can NEVER serve NS! I wonder if the straits times has reported cases where foreigners are so dejected and upset that they cannot serve the prestigious and exclusive NS in singapore. I think there should be many such cases. Poor foreigners. -

If he is a highly mobile foreigner and not PR (like the expatriate Mr AngMoh), what's NS? He is here to make money. The thing that occassionally make his heart flutters are some Sarong Party Girls. He has the best of both worlds, provided he is not stupid enough to tangle permanently in a sarong and force to settle here. So what is the roting stuff about royalty and NS anyway?
If he is not a highly mobile foreigner and not PR (like the labourer Mr Bangra), what's NS? He is here to make money. Even if he admires this country and love to be part of this country, a quick calculation will force him back to reality. His money earned here will stretch longer back home. So what is the roting stuff about royalty and NS anyway?
In short, the Straits Times don't need to about the first and will never have to report about the last two. -
From my travels in various countries, the least loyal countries are the western countries who take in immigrants w/o restrictions and China who dump their citizens to die in the streets.

I do support local goods and encourage entrepreneurship among fellow Singaporeans. But one may argue on the fact that the government polices are cater to attracts foreign investments and businesses rather than being beneficial for its own entrepreneurs or people. But are there no merits in the pro-foreign polices at all? This pro-foreign policies are in line with the free trade agreement which the government I believe intend to pursue thus creating a competitive environment. In my opinion, in a globalisation world today, protectionist polices are no longer effective as in the case of Proton cars in Malaysis, which used to be placed under protectionism but this has been lifted off because the government have realised the implication of protecting one domestic industy.
Overall, I will say that it is equally important to lend a helping hand to local enterprises for entreprenuer-to-be yet maintain competitiveness through foreign investors for jobs and boosting economic.

According to Oxford Concise Dictionary,
Expatriate (Noun) - A person who lives outside their native country.
Expatriates are found all over the world. They are not citizen of the country they are working for. How to you expect someone to pledge allegiance when he/she is not even a native there? -

Our gov has been loyal to our girls too!
The gov has encouraged the entrance of expats and inculcate the belief that SPG could be one interesting career in the entertainment industry.
Foreign girls even if they dress up in the shortest sarong, can never work as sarong party girls! It is an honor that only singapore girls can fulfill! -
So you want the Singapore government to create another "BUMIPUTRA" policy like Malaysia???? Meaning to say that Singaporeans are "sons of the soil" and any foreigners or PRs are second class citizens here?I am not quite amused by this as the Malaysian Chineses and other minority races have been suffering for years under that divisive and discriminatory policy and many foreigners were scared away as meritocracy was totally dead, and what they are looking for is "Kulitfication" rather than qualification when they are looking for a job!
I would rather infer that the Singapore government is too loyal to $$$$$$$$, few hundred % more than its own citizens, thereby producing a nation of loyal citizen$ with dollars $ign sticking all over their head$ and of course attracting a lot of foreigners who need S$! Sometimes you just wonder what is the use of gaining the whole world and losing your own soul!Singapore may have billions in its reserves, the citizen$ may have millions in their bank accounts, but the country is becoming more soulless! Top earners want more, millionaires try hard to be billionaires, they suck either legitimately or illegitimately whenever they can, leaving the poors and the sicks to suffer in silence, that has slowly becoming a reality in Singapore!

the increase in hospitalisation for Aids patient and unwanted pragnancy,
the brighter prospect in the industry for adoption of unwanted babies,
the better reputation overseas, among AngMo, of Singapore as shop, eat and dump place.

Mr Bangra's girl - no need to say. She doesn't has to wear the shortest sarong. Anyway, wearing the shortest sarong is not her main concern because normally she doesn't has the body or face for it. Her main concern is the heart of her man through his belly. She may not be a true beauty like the SPG or as vain as the SPG but she has steel in her character which the SPG can learn a thing or two.
Mr AngMo's girl - no need to say. She doesn't has to wear the shortest sarong. Anyway, she already has assets well placed- her chest is fuller and her bump is rounder than the SPG. She is a true beauty no other can compare. The only thing that set her back is her independent streak. Tame that and her man will run back to her arms, even if it is as far as Singapore. -
