On SPG issue, these materialistic girls can throw themselves at expatriates for all we care. Who wants such girls anyway? I think I should thanks the government for allowing expatriates to work here instead. At least, such sheeps in wolves clothing have been uncovered to our delights.Originally posted by Cindyfeh:I left out singapore girls. Thanks pat33 for reminding me.
Our gov has been loyal to our girls too!
The gov has encouraged the entrance of expats and inculcate the belief that SPG could be one interesting career in the entertainment industry.
Foreign girls even if they dress up in the shortest sarong, can never work as sarong party girls! It is an honor that only singapore girls can fulfill!
ok i give you my answer.Originally posted by Salman:Do you feel patriotic?
Did you ask yourself what you can do for Singapore instead of asking what singapore can do for you?
How patriotic or loyal can you be when all you do is make mountains out of molehills and criticise Singapore?
Let me say that I am not replying to Salman any more because he or she has already made up his or her mind not to listen to inputs. I am trying to reply only to you now.Originally posted by dragg:robertteh, answer the questions?
why are you making mountains out of molehills?
are you loyal to singapore?
are you patriotic?
Sow discord? entice migration?Originally posted by TooFree:On a side note, can you please be more creative instead of banking on NS or SPG as a means to sow discard or to entice migration. Explore other avenue if you can so as to make my blood donation more worthwhile, unless it is a already a fact that there is no other heart-burning issues. Thanks.
Your siggy has spoken.Originally posted by Cindyfeh:Sow discord? entice migration?
How dare you accuse me of those unpatriotic acts!
As seen on Sgforums.com, many singaporeans are loyal, patriotic and gov lovers. How can I be so unreasonable to sow discord here?

NKF isn't govt runned mister.Originally posted by robertteh:I do not need to imagine any problems. The problems posted are all clearly real problems affecting all citizens but like the NKF have been denied.
So why the hell do you bother?
Actually there was not much point in giving feedbacks because of past persistent denials of people's feedbacks but I am here making some attempts to give feedbacks partly because PM LHL said in his inauguration speech that he intended to build an open and inclusive society.
Whats wrong with these policies?
He said he would welcome views and suggestions and that he would be worried if people have no views. We do not know yet whether he meant what he has said but judging by his sticking to high-cost and tax-and-recover corporatization policy of the past todate, nothing has changed except in minor or cosmetic surgery. There was the same self-centred approach to benefit only the state and glorify the elites or leaders. Otherwise I will just read my books and do my exercise and don't care.
It sure doesn't take a patriot to want lower costs, more money and more welfare.
I am patriotic enough to want to stand up for Singapore not necessarily the government. If the government changes its arrogant attitude to citizens and tries to solve some of the major problems, then I can also be pro-government.
Cool it man, we all here for some fun and companionship, don't you all agree?Originally posted by TooFree:Your siggy has spoken.

The government is not Singapore.
Condemning and hating the government does not mean that you are not patriotic or do not love Singapore.
Being anti-PAP does not equate to being anti-Singapore.
There is nothing wrong with being anti-government.
People seem to possess more wisdom than the whole of government. They will know where things go wrong not the government. Finally it will have to be people again who have to speak up to safeguard Singapore.Originally posted by av98m:The government is not Singapore.

Don't be silly.
According to Oxford Concise Dictionary,
Expatriate (Noun) - A person who lives outside their native country.

Currently, which is the majority party in parliement? Who has the power to make faulty policies?
Oh I see, so you people are anti PAP rather than anti policies. You finally admit it. How objective of you fellas. Its no wonder none of your charges against govt policies made any sense and when countered, you have no reply.
cheers

Hi Mr SalmanOriginally posted by Salman:There is nothing wrong with criticising the govt per se.
The problem with many of the critics out there is that they have such an anti mindset that everything looks bad to them, even good policies.
When you assess a situation, you need to take stock with a balance sheet. If all you have is a negatives column, thats what it will look to you. To balance it up, you need to have a positives column as well as an opportunity cost column.
To a lot of complainers out there, they do not have a balance sheet mindset and end up with a distorted view. Many good policies ended up looking bad to them. That i think is not constructive but destructive. Its no wonder the govt will never listen to such people and they get frustrated.
