On SPG issue, these materialistic girls can throw themselves at expatriates for all we care. Who wants such girls anyway? I think I should thanks the government for allowing expatriates to work here instead. The gov has encouraged the entrance of expats and inculcate the belief that SPG could be one interesting career in the entertainment industry.
Foreign girls even if they dress up in the shortest sarong, can never work as sarong party girls! It is an honor that only singapore girls can fulfill!
On a side note, can you please be more creative instead of banking on NS or SPG as a means to sow discard or to entice migration. Explore other avenue if you can so as to make my blood donation more worthwhile, unless it is a already a fact that there is no other heart-burning issues. Thanks. -

I do not need to imagine any problems. The problems posted are all clearly real problems affecting all citizens but like the NKF have been denied.
Actually there was not much point in giving feedbacks because of past persistent denials of people's feedbacks but I am here making some attempts to give feedbacks partly because PM LHL said in his inauguration speech that he intended to build an open and inclusive society.
He said he would welcome views and suggestions and that he would be worried if people have no views. We do not know yet whether he meant what he has said but judging by his sticking to high-cost and tax-and-recover corporatization policy of the past todate, nothing has changed except in minor or cosmetic surgery. There was the same self-centred approach to benefit only the state and glorify the elites or leaders. Otherwise I will just read my books and do my exercise and don't care.
I am patriotic enough to want to stand up for Singapore not necessarily the government. If the government changes its arrogant attitude to citizens and tries to solve some of the major problems, then I can also be pro-government. -

singapore is a fabulous country where the gov sets good standard for each of us to aim for - the Swiss standard of living for everyone of us that is ever so far for us(ok, maybe a few of our beloved MIW have achived that but they are of diff league). Thank you gov for maintaining us steps away from Swiss standard of living so that we don't get lazy! -

I am very happy with our govt. I think they are great. They are not perfect though and they do screw up education and PSA. -

The govt do take feedback on a lot of things. Its just that you are not aware of it because you were never involved.

From how you put it, I can see that you do not have a good grasp of what is happening and have no idea how things are runned elsewhere.
It sure doesn't take a patriot to want lower costs, more money and more welfare.

As, I've said before the gov has done many good things but it also has done many bad things.We are finding fault with those bad policies. -

The problem with many of the critics out there is that they have such an anti mindset that everything looks bad to them, even good policies.
When you assess a situation, you need to take stock with a balance sheet. If all you have is a negatives column, thats what it will look to you. To balance it up, you need to have a positives column as well as an opportunity cost column.
To a lot of complainers out there, they do not have a balance sheet mindset and end up with a distorted view. Many good policies ended up looking bad to them. That i think is not constructive but destructive. Its no wonder the govt will never listen to such people and they get frustrated. -

Not true. Taxes are relatively low in Singapore. It was deliberately kept low for good reasons. Not all taxes are good and they know it.
The whole philosophy of the govt is not to gather more taxes monies like in Europe and left leaning section of US.
They will definitely not listen to you if you suggest increasing taxes. -

I admire your courage in taking up so many people here. I do not wish to join in any debate but just point out something.
In internet forum like this, it is very hard for many to write like an author or a journalist, with the ability to take stock or write balance non-partisan viewpoints.
Many of us write with certain point(s) in mind (sometimes well articulated, sometimes not with misspelling, wrong word, meaning wrongly phrase etc).
The better medium for political comment, of course, will be the printed media. But that is another thing altogether. I am just saying this medium of commnunication do have limitations and flaws too.
