Tampines playground fire Town Council shd compensate

No point spending so much $$$ in upgrading HDB if people don't take care.
The playground esp. those made of plastics materials shouldn't be in void decks in the first place. -

Reminds me of the SGX CLOB sega, just walk away like that. Not a single responsibility for setting up an illegal exchange, or even come up a single cent for the transfer. This case they did not claim any credit, infact let the case died down and everyone forget it.
Also reminds me of the tampines town council responsibility of the boy that got hit by a rusty collapse lamp post while playing basketball.

no matter how fast the fire engine reponse, fire will spread just as fast.
a few minutes is all it needs once it starts flaming. Build more mini stations and have 2 man teams in smaller rhinos, located around the island.
which brings me to whether the cpmpulsory fire hoses at the blk is being used at all. They are on most blks now except mine. Comes to remind that only certain blks have fire hydrant and fire hoses om stair cases. Maybe they stop the building them. -

Once children play with fire, things sure kena burnt, barriers or no barriers, otherwise where got fun, last time grandma stayed in attap house anybody played with fire sure kena canned like hell.

then better buy landed property....but landed property got no town council to blame for fire.......
better call insurance agent, but if din buy fire insurance....go and buy toto, hopefully strike and can pay for the damage,
but if don strike how...it means no luck, it is no luck that your house got burnt in the first place....don't need to go one big round to realise that. -

okay, that block of flats is just a 5-min walk frm my hse.
the playground is at the void deck because... on the other end of the void deck is the PAP kindergarten. so that playground was recently(a year? 2 years?) put up for the kids to play there..
it's just a normal plastic playground like the 'little tikes' one... so, when plastic burns, you know what happens. -
they are now doing a donation drive for affected families.

I have nothing against any religion or beliefs but I'm going to relate an experience I had with the NPP and Town Councils.
One of the resident in my block will on some occasions burn incense paper and mind you, not one or two stacks but stacks that can form a honeycomb low wall. The bloody thing is that he placed them just next to the water mains where the meter was. Worst of all the burning take place always at midnight.
The next morning the corridors, balconies of the units in level 2, 4, 6 and 8 (masionette) will have ashes all over. The wall, water mains showed clearly burnt marks and when I made a police report, guess what, the NPP says it's the Town Council's problem, wtf!
I went to the town council and yes, you guessed it. They said make a police report. WTF! Both the agencies try to push their responsibilities. The impression is they have to catch them in the act and in this case nothing they can do about, wtf!. Put it indirectly, until death is reocrded then they will response. WTF!

I returned to show the police pictures taken on the ashes along the coridor, balcony, blacken wall and water mains. The NPP don't give a damn. I then insisted on filing a report for record. I even told them they shall be held responsible should there be a fire cause by incosiderate burning of incense in my block. They bo chap! wtf!
In the case of the Tampines fire, only with such damage that they take action. WTF, reactive and not proactive! Report in the papers the kids ranging from 8 to 12 were brought to the police station. What for? The NPP should wake up their f++king idea. -
IF this is the case, these are not trained firemen!!!!! Should start to ask Civil defence, why are these firemen and civil Defence so stupid!......Cannot even handle such a small tragedy....then, what are we talking about handling terrorist attack. Last time, CD got no divers in their unit. Now have liao, formed only recently.
Sometime in 1998, I called the civil defence for a drowning case. A worker was missing under the water when the sand bags collapsed. It was sea water flooding the monsoon drain which was still undergoing construction. Told the CD it's drowning and they have to call the naval diving unit for help to send divers. Guess what? They send fire fighters for a drowning case.
When the CD arrived, told the Captain that seawater flooded the monsoon drain. You know what the captain asked? Where can I pump out the water? Wow lao! a captain asking where to pump out seawater. How to depend on these CD, bird brain one... -
