Has your principal or teacher been treating you like this?

Hello, I have a link below w/c shows an article abt this principal in US who severely humiliated an 8 y.o. girl for something she never did but was framed by someone, resulting in great mental abuse & psychological damage to this poor girl. Her family wants this principal to apologise publicly but she didnt, so ppl wants her sacked! Pls also follow all the links there to get the complete story b4 making any final conclusion.

No principal in SG will be that foolish. No proof and with only the word of a fellow student, it becomes a my-word-vs-yours issue. \
Anyway all the kids here love to mang jak the teachers and bully each other. -

But are u sure no such cases of abuse or humiliation at all? I have heard rumours from some of my older friends who were abused very long time ago. Sometimes cannot judge by appearance nia, teachers cannot bully people meh? It's sometimes that someone who thinks too highly of themselves and wants to win them as they think they so superior to others (a.k.a self proclaimation of genius)

No unruly kids, no ill-discipline. Those days were ruled by the teachers...Parents bowed to them, students looked up to them.
Now it's all gone sideways. Kids disrespect them at will, parents think school is a child-care center with teachers as paid nannies.
Principals only care abt promotion to the fast track.
What more is there to say?
Definitely zero tolerance for child humiliation here. Teachers can't even touch the little buddas... -
Well, it's good in a way as can prevent abuse but also bad on discipline. But i guess teachers then were more fair? But why my some of mature frens say they were supposedly abused unfairly? I think school system has gone to two extremes. One too strict, the other too lax. But what if only, what if something like this really happen now? I thank God for so many Christian teachers here. No education system is ever 100%. There are always flaws and loopholes and there will always be a group of people who exploit them.
Having come from a system where teachers ruled their workplace, i have to admit my views may be rather biased. However, a more open classroom may be the way of the future. As children evolve and become more perceptive at a younger age, one should not stifle education with passive discipline or silence.
Children should be encouraged to ask questions and express views. Of course if all the kid asked is 'WHY WHY WHY?', that could drive teachers up the walls too... -

I still think a certain amt of discipline is needed bcos without any discipline, ppl wont learn as well & they might become distracted or lose focus. Then they go day dreaming or talking among themselves or worse, start throwing chalk or chairs. Just exaggerating here.
