To demonstrate the his government is world-class, has real talents and entrepreneurship, is clean and not after monies, PM Lee can get his ministers to set as example not to charge million-dollar salaries or collect 8-months bonuses etc and return these extraordinary gains of office to the coffers this year before the election.
People will given them the signal when to restore the ministers' hyper salaries and exceptional bonuses after the Singapore has really achieved its targeted upgrading to a value-adding high technology economy (like the Korean model) by say 2008. -

i would like to hear your opinion on this. Do u think its feasible if S'pore adopts the Korean model? let me elaborate a little.. as in emulating what Korea did with the Chaebols? by promoting big private business grps and not GLCs (our discussion from the earlier thread). u reckon its feasible? -
