He is a top penist now and think like a big shot. In NS he will be called a selfish recruit and get tekan like hell. What so great about a panist.
I wonder who is the idiot that send him a an invitation letter. He should know not to invite an NS defaulter. Like him, all of us want to develop a career. To us all, he is just a person on the run. No difference from a AWOL person.
He just took the advantage and managed to get away because our gov believes in talent.
I believe he did not come here knowing he will be jailed, except that he may have recieved a big invitation signed by some top ministry person. His case needs to be probe in detail all the way to ministry, why a fine of mere $3000?
Favouritism or not, why is law treating him differently? -

I was made to believe that NS is one of the pillars in our nation-building. I believed it and put in my time and efforts.
But I am f u c king mad when they did not inform me that it isnt the case anymore, as reflected in this case with Mr. Tan.
Now I feel this - NS as a sacred institution to our nation-building - pooi! pooi! pooi!
Maybe no one said it out loud yet. Here it is : "The damage is done. Well done Singapore!". My generation will tell their sons about this incident and how many generations do you think it will take to salvage the damage?
How can they have gotten it so wrong on this? It is either of sheer arrogance or they really lost touch with the people. -

Mervyn Tan should leave Singapore and Singaporeans should boycott his performance and CDs.
I am all for the yellow ribbon campaign for convicted criminals like him, but have we heard a word of apology for his crime? I haven't seen a trace of remorse for his criminal act. -
