My views:
I think he is hopeless.......
Even though CSJ was smart, he used it in the wrong way.......
He want to crticise the PAP but end up the whole Singapore
For eg the death penalty case..........
I think he should just keep quiet and not anyhow splattering words out
He should observe it first then act but he just charged on it without thinking
PS: I maybe wrong in some views -
He is just a clown and his purpose is to keep us entertained.

instead, we have cartoon characters like this chap here running around heckling people like some taiwanese gangster politician ....
tips for the opposition party members in this forum ..... (I know there are lots of you around .... looking at the threads ... ) ... keep it respectable and rational ! ...
don't rant too much ... it gets tiring after a while ... listening to you only makes us more depressed !!! ....... offer solutions, alternatives ... tell us how things would be better if things were done your way .....
and perhaps people may just start to care about what you have to say ......... -

The govt did not charge him for anything. So what are you talking about?
Zulfikar brought up many things, including the tudung in schools issue. He tried to incite Muslims against the govt and sow the seeds of sectarian divide. -
I fully agree with Fatum.
The agenda of Chee is not to build Singapore but to embarass the govt. He is a traitor just like some forumners here.
A true politician who wants to serve the nation would have been constructive and truthful.
Here's what I would do if I am an opposition.
1. Be honest and constructive. Defend good govt policies that are not popular if you have to.
2. Form an active shadow cabinet and broadcast the proceedings thru print and internet.
3. Seek constant feedback from the community and serve them.
4. monitor the govt decisions and hallenge them where appropriate.
If you can do that for just 5 years, you can crack PAP and win a few seats.
Do that for another 5 years and you will win some GRCs. -

The OB marker and prohibition of the press from crusading journalism are still there.
Dr. Catherine Lim has shut up for quite a while now probably she has to keep within a certain OB marker drawn somewhere.
The ex-senior civil servant Ngiam Tong Dow who has lamented about the auto-piloting of certain past unworkable policies has lied very low now being probably wary of consequences of breaching OB unspoken rules.
So how to expect CSJ or other oppositions from forming shallow cabinet for future government. He and others are facing big risks of defamations election after election. This is the type of authoritarianism we are getting disguised in the cloak of some pseudo-westminister parliamentary system doctored suitably until no citizens worth the salt will be able to participate in political process. Any one with views will be taken to tasks or depoliticised or hounded by some salmans as is seen happening right here in this forum.
With such OB, tracking and pressurizations, how to expect the citizens to plan future alternate or shallow cabinet. How to vote when one man has only 0.55 vote when 0.45 vote was swiped by some GRC-hijacked walkovers with no votes cast. -

And we don't even have winter. ... e.g after whinning in parliament for years on getting an MRT station for potong pasir, they finally got it with the NEL ... kudos to him for that .... hopefully the residents of potong pasir doesn't forget that in the coming election ...
as for the shadow cabinet ... i'm not sure about that ... not the way the other countries practise it anyways ....
and i suppose taking heat is part and parcel being in politics .... just as PAP members have to stand and take all the shit directed at them ... (like some threads in this forum here ... ) ... I would expect the opposition candidate who expects to get my votes to be able to take some heat too .....
and i do feel strongly about my opposition candidate not whinning ... we're not a stupid people ... we can see and think for ourselves .... we do know how to draw conclusions and sieve out truths from the sensational ... I don't need self-styled "whistle blowers" to tell me where the goverment has gone wrong, i can think for myself, thank you very much ... I want capable people who think they can do a better job out there so I can give the chap a chance to prove it ! .... it is easy to snipe anonymously from the crowd .... but if the opposition is going to do nothing but that .... then i suggest they stick to b.itching with the ah peks at kopitiams ....... -
