Leaders should not promise what they cannot deliver

MM Lee has been reported to advise Indian Politicians not to promise what they cannot deliver. Fair enough. But did he or his government promise many things like "Swiss Standard of living", "Equal opportunities", "Jobs jobs jobs" and "More good years" in the last two elections.
Has he or his government delivered them or is he only giving advice without ability to make good on the advice himself.
Let us examine some of the following 20 major policy errors posted and use the "People's Government Performance Benchmark" (PGPB) method to assess what he and his government have promised and whether he had actually delivered:-
(1) Did he solve the problem of Bureaucracy in civil service.
(2) Has he looked after the people's high cost problems with medical, utilities, housing, transportation, education, etc, etc
(3) Has he implemented the Growth Triangles
(4) Has he created and classless and more equitable society - let us examine the problem caused by elitism and Affective divide.
(5) Has he after the Hotel New Year collapse promised to improve Work site safety problems, and delivered them.
(6) Has he promised and delivered the Swiss standard of living
(7) Has he promised and delivered the Asset enhancement scheme?
(8 ) Has he delivered on the CPF Unit trust investment
(9) Has he promised and delivered the better Foreign relations with neighbours?
(10) Non-formulation of a value-adding investment strategy
(11) Has he promised to do something about the high costs by not Double-charging on lands (paid by taxpayers yet charged back to them at full market prices) and triple charges on vehicles.
(12) Has he promised and delivered the Meritocratic education policy or he his policy backfired - witnessed by brain drains of thousands
(13) Mother tongue - CL1 admission fiasco
(14) Reaching World Cup soccer league by 2010 - no sign of getting near.
(15) Has he made good his promise to build CPF funds for retiremnent?
(16) Spiraling of government ministers' and civil servants' salaries.
(17) Has he brought about greater accountability and transparency in respect of investments of citizens' monies in overseas investments.
(18 ) Has he addressed the Loss of economic competitiveness due to high costs.
(19) Has he promised to create a pro-business entrepreneurship enviornment?
(20) Has he promised to do domething about the languishing state of domestic sector of economy. -
thats why most deliver what they did not promise.

If I give you a slap out of a sudden, will you too look blur as what Bush did when the WTC was under-attacked by a never seen before Modus Operandi using commercial plane. Please, common sense tell you that anyone will be shocked at that. It is understandable.
Look at how he responded after he woke up from his blur stage to reform and shape WTC, formulate tough new anti-terrorists laws and at the same time bring countries together in a bid to fight terrorism should be the mark of a great leader.

he's family is Big Oil.. his cronies are all Big Oil... his state of Texas is Big Oil...
guess whose coffers suddenly filled to bursting when the price of crude went to US$70?

i wanna see a lot of those things carried out too.. i wish the gabrament well if they sincerely want to carry them out...
