Singaporeans should learn to stand up for their right to speak and write candidly irrespective of the so-called "leaders' likes or dislikes" The more they cower under intimidations the more they might be intimidated. Just write fairly and objectively and this is what I did all the time. If they cannot take this kind of input, I don't think they have the right qualities to lead.Originally posted by KumSioJui:You must have asked or said something which they found too sensitive to keep in their forums. Hey even openess has it's limits ok
I dunno what you did to make them do that, but what you hope to gain? Landing yourself in trouble just to prove your point or just to grab some attention? - no offence but that will be the stupidest thing.
a king or leader no matter how open or diplomatic will still demand loyalty. Do yourself a favor to remember that.
Next time mebbe u will find "strange people" popping up near your home as if surveiling you.
they never said what they like or dislike, and they never will say but it is assumed.Originally posted by robertteh:Singaporeans should learn to stand up for their right to speak and write candidly irrespective of the so-called "leaders' likes or dislikes" The more they cower under intimidations the more they might be intimidated. That's not true. I tried to post a topic on the atrocious English standard of Mediacorp "journalists" and reporters and the forum master deleted it. That's Channel News Asia and Today for you, low-class superficial non-starter in the first place.Originally posted by BillyBong:The only reason they banned you is because you wrote something that may have infringed on their forum regs, meaning should the write-up have been deemed inflamatory and open for a lawsuit by some govt body, CNA would be dragged into it and lectured on how their moderators don't rein in such topics.
Bottomline: you probably touched a nerve.
Write objectively, but in a 'docile' and gentlemanly manner and i'm sure, people will read it. Like regular Today forum writer Narayana Narayana...![]()
u dun hav to stand for CNA forum and provide a reason... if he wants to find out, it is definitely not whinning here...Originally posted by Salman:There are many posts in CNA that criticise the govt, the people who posted don't get banned.
I think Robert wants to spam the same lame message again and again and it dirties the forum, thats why they banned him. I too would have banned such nonsence too if I run CNA forum.

"Today" only publishes news favorable to itself like how they are the "second most widely read paper in Singapore" though I doubt the fairness of the yardstick as they are essentially a free-sheet.
In any case, for more illustration of crap writing, turn to page 44 of today's Today and look at the 2nd para of the article written by Reeta Raman:
"...in addition to that, the spread of a lethal strain of bird flu in the past 2 years HAVE also sparked fears..."
These people just can't get their plural and singular correct!
maybe we should be ban you to keep the integrity of this forum.Originally posted by Salman:Its only logical. Just look at Robert's behavior here. He keeps posting the same shi-t but refuse to stand by his shi-t when countered.
Most of the time, he is simply parroting others and don't even know what he is talking about. Whats the value of his posts?
Anyway great job CNA. They have kept up the integrity of their forum. Its no wonder why they are so good.
Robert must be so sore.
cheers
ok, after you.Originally posted by dragg:maybe we should be ban you to keep the integrity of this forum.
