I last check the annual report. Nobody from the Lee family seats on the Board of Directors.Originally posted by SnowFlag:btw, does anyone know what is Capitaland's connection with the Lee family?
Hongkong Land, Cheung Kong Holdings, MCL Land, City Developments, Far East Group, Jardine C&C and Wing Tai Holdings.Originally posted by dotaro:Highest bidder with the highest financial might which no one else can compete with, wins the bid.
Who can compete with Capitaland?![]()
That makes Temasek Holdings a major shareholder liaoOriginally posted by shade343:And Temasek Holdings only owns 45% of the Company and have and extra deemed interest of 1% in the company through their partial share holdings in the DBS group.![]()

hmmm.....how is CDL related to this thread?Originally posted by dragg:city development limited, another property giant in singapore, owned by kwek leng beng.
Because got some stupid people ask "who can challange Capitaland"?Originally posted by SnowFlag:hmmm.....how is CDL related to this thread?
CDL is fucking rich. Kindly read their Annual report. If a comapany lacks good management, is the fault of Capitaland? And a majority of CDL assets are not shopping malls. They have never been a shopping mall specialist. Their area of focus is more on residential, carparks and office properties rather than shopping malls.Originally posted by dotaro:I remember some shopping malls were previously owned by CDL, but eventually lost out the malls to CapitaLand.
CDL did not have the financial backing as of CapitaLand, or probably lack of good management, in the end, one by one, their malls or prime office space kena taken over.
I was informed by Mr.that none of the Lee family sits in the board.
I'm quite surprised.
I was also enlightened by Mr.that Temasek holds 45% stakein CapitaLand. Woah.
If that is not called Majority Influence, I dun noe what is.
Next piece of land for CapitaLand, Integrated Resort, Marina Bay.
Kindest bidders, pls show yourself to the exit.
What irks me is ignorant people like you who make baseless insinuations. Like you already said, you dont even bother to read company annual reports, yet you still make claims like:Originally posted by dotaro:Why so pek chek and fret up Mr.?
I think our Government is wise enough to save their time and effort from sueing forumites.
Admittedly, I do not read annual reports of our property big wigs in S'pore.
If according to their annual reports, they are rich, fine.
But they still lost their malls.
Maybe they feel it's better to save their resources rather than competing head-on with CapitaLand.
By the way, it would be wise for Mr.to go back studying or stare at nearby swimming pool hoping for free show, dun you think?
Oh, and btw, highest bidder may not neccesarily mean the company with the highest financial might.Originally posted by dotaro:Highest bidder with the highest financial might which no one else can compete with, wins the bid.
