Why would the world want to compete with China? The world is now thinking of how they are going to take advantage of China booming economy not competing for job. Why? Everybody want jobs, need jobs.
A large part of it is due to the Yuan. Otherwise they would not have kept it undervalued.
FYI, china booming economy is not just because of YUAN. Let me ask you how many country is this world is actively lobbying against China's Yuan? beside USA, there is Salman..
Aha! I just exposed you pants down putting words where they were not.
You have limited knowledge abuot what keep the world spinning so, please just stick to Singapore and answer the simple questions that everybody is asking you...
Aha! so you do agree that the Yuan is devalued.
Do you know how many people are holding YUAN right now? Just like you, they are hoping that Yuan will appreciate by 20% or more. Once that happen, everybody will sell and Yuan will collapse. Do you know why Dr M peg the riggit against the dollar? For fun? devaluing the riggit so that they can compete with Singapore?
The reserve won't get hurt cos its in USD.
You mentioned that chinese gov is holding US bonds. ask yourself, what will happen to China's reserve if Yuan appreciate by 20%? Please go do some reading before shouting and screaming abuot YUAN.
So why do you think they are privatising banks? Pls explain.
So simply huh? I thought you are going to say china government need money to give ang pao during chinese new year.
I excelled in economics and finance in school. Thats why I'm running circles around you people and having a lot of fun doing it a little at a time.
When you finish your economic and finance 101, please come back here and read your own post.
Do you understand the concept of total cost?Originally posted by sgdiehard:For every one manufacturing worker hired in Singapore, a company can hire 3 in Malaysia, 8 in Thailand, 13 in China or 18 in India, tell me, how much should yuan be revalued to make labour costs equal????
how much do you think yuan is devalued? answer this question and you will not need to further show your ignorance and stupidity.
now you are talking about total costs, not just labour costs. so what other costs in china are kept low by the "devalued" yuan??Originally posted by Salman:Do you understand the concept of total cost?
Why not all manufacturing in Thailand, Msia and Singapore and USA shift to China according to your primitive costing you dummy?
yar right...cant even answer simple questions you call that excel. try harder next time dude and wish you all the best in finding yourself a chinese job.Originally posted by Salman:I excelled in economics and finance in school. Don't you already realise what is happening?
salman, it will lower you cost if the product is extremely labour intensive, e.g. farming, textile, food processing etc. For other industry, the effect is negligible.Originally posted by Salman:Aha! now you are getting the idea! Its not just the labour cost although it is a component.
And does a undervalued yuan lower total cost because labour cost is part of it?
are you gonna avoid this question?
how do you expect people to have a debate with you when you are constantly avoiding questions.Originally posted by Salman:Cannot debate economics get out lah. Write so much for what?
proof to us that when you devalue the yuan your total cost will be reduce.Originally posted by Salman:Aha! now you are getting the idea! Its not just the labour cost although it is a component.

Ok, you have been whinning about undervalue Yuan, so what is the fair value of Yuan?Originally posted by Salman:I did answer a lot of questions, you people don't.
The real problem is, you don't even know what you are talking about. And when I asked clarifying or counter questions, you either avoid it, create strawmen or beat about the bush.
Back to the basic question I asked. Why are you people biased towards China? Why don't you just admit you are bias? That way you don't need to make a fool of yourself anymore.
want me to proof you wrong?Originally posted by Salman:under value yuan will not lower production cost huh?
Good for you, nothing more to talk.
I was really hoping that you will challenge me. But too bad, you have chicken out...didnt know that you are such a sissy...Originally posted by Salman:no need anymore, you win with your bigotry.
