Nah, enough of the strategies the opposition are adopting. Sadly, I am looking forward to voting the opposition in the coming GE but there won't be much of a difference I guess.
I happen to know how the new PAP candidates are head hunted and shortlisted. They sure have many rounds of selection and the cream of the crops are being hand picked and groom into politics. To be very honest, the opposition chances are slim.

And it seems to confirm that you are pretty well educated; i.e. in most cases, very well educated individuals couldn't take punches and critics well due to ego and high self worth attitude.
You see my reply as "unfriendly" basically because you are emotionally affected when your ego gets hurt. Put it this way, all of us must learn to accept the fact that we might just be proven wrong sometime. As I have explained, my reply is pretty down to earth and straight forward. No need to put flowery words in it. But at the same time, there isn't any "emotional" element in it; at least when I write them, I do not have any bit of bad emotions in doing so.
It would be better for you to listen to me DIRECTLY instead of just reading the words as text. Plain text could mean very differently when spoken with different tone.
Well, you could be angry with me, that's alright. But the fact is that you have little to rebut me on my hard cruel points. Don't need to get emotional, get rational.

We have long term strategy, but a very REALISTIC one. PAP didn't field all seats when they first started. They are being realistic. At this moment, we are starting from scratch, all over again. Thus, we could only do our best to field as many good candidates we have but the cruel truth is, there are many people out there like you, prefer not to do anything except spoiling your votes. Thus, it is not possible for us to field all seats right now and WE as a nation have to live with it, you included.
This is chicken and egg thing. If you are not prepared to help or join us, then please don't complain "opposition is weak". We are so because there aren't enough people willing to take risks or contribute. period.

Bit unfortunately, this time round, I have to agree with him that this post of yours contains more emotion than rationality. Rational people wouldn't have to shout, tt is type words in Caps. 2) if you wish to be more calm, you can drop modifiers: "very very", "never", "very", "merely". The last sentence fragment shows a looking-down on other people (i.e. Archidoron). And if I may add - to no intended offence - that last sentence is exactly what the PAP says when it is alleged as not listening to public feedback.
3) Scrap the first sentence. In fact, cut the entire paragraph. An entire paragraph of presumptions is not the staple of rational discourse.
4) Cut the exclamation mark.

I use bold to make "stress points", not to shout. I use exclaimation marks to extend a high tone voice.

1) Seriously, if that were a criterion, then ministers like Vivian and Lim Boon Yang aren't suitable to be in politics either. To me, all elections are only bunches of emotional appeal. THe more emotional appeal you have, the more support you gain. What else is the meaning of the phrase "working the ground". Have you heard of the proverb "duan zhang qu yi" ("taking meaning from a sentence fragment")? If you want to determine if someone is pompous, analyze the TONE of the post; don't just make a stickling point over a few words. If I were pompous, I would have used a term more insulting than "loose canon", and would have been much more vindictive toward GMS. After all, a pompous person would aim to show that he is entirely superior to all others, and would write in a way that dismisses everyone else as idiots, which I didn't do definitely. Or perhaps, I should challenge you to prove that I did.

BTW, if I have the chance to vote, I'm not voting PAP even if the opposition doesn't live up to expectation. I'm sick of their underhanded and totalitarian tactics.
