Are there any legal implications when a SAF Regulars or Civil Servants join a Political Party? Especially an Opposition Party eg. Singapore People Party?
If you plan a stable career in the Government Service - as a Civil Servant or in the SAF, it is inadvisable to join any other political parties except the Ruling Party.
The Civil Service Act prevent one from being a member, but it is silent on one's role as a 'grass root activist'.
