SAF Regulars or Civil Servants joining Political Parties

Are there any regulations regarding SAF Regulars or Civil Servants joining Political Parties?
Are there any legal implications when a SAF Regulars or Civil Servants join a Political Party? Especially an Opposition Party eg. Singapore People Party? -
They are the next generation of leaders. The scholars, with brains and career path being tailored for this. There is nothing we can do about it!

After 40 years of trying, we are still waiting for scholars to lead in:
(1) Upgrade the system of government to pro-active and pro-people system.
(2) Restructure the moribund pro-foreign economic management to self-reliant entrepreneurial, value-adding and creative mass participation in practical knowledge applications.
(3) Technology start-ups to create new generations of jobs.
(4) Swiss standard of living.
(5) Vibrant and socially active citizenry supportive of one another. -

The Civil Service Act prevent one from being a member, but it is silent on one's role as a 'grass root activist'. -

Will the leadership of the Ruling Party allow any latitude for the Scholars to exercise initiative and implement fresh ideas in the areas that you have mentioned :
(1) Upgrade the system of government to pro-active and pro-people system.
Is there any benefits to the Ruling Party by improving from the present status quo - which allows the Ruling Party to dictate to Singaporeans ?
Will the Ruling Party allow this to happen ?
At what cost will this be to the Ruling Party ?
(2) Restructure the moribund pro-foreign economic management to self-reliant entrepreneurial, value-adding and creative mass participation in practical knowledge applications.
Allowing this to happen, is to admit that their policy has been wrong since the early industrialization program of the 1960's that is heavily dependent on foreign MNCs.
(3) Technology start-ups to create new generations of jobs.
Will the Ruling Party allow a new generation of Technology Start-ups to be in the hands of Private Enterprise - which basically leave the Government Owned Companies without any stake in the future of High Tech Businesses that contribute to Temasek Holdings ?
(4) Swiss standard of living.
GCT's dream of the "Swiss Standard of Living" was only a mere convenient pipedream worked around a coined political slogan.
What will be the cost to Singaporeans in achieving a Swiss Standard of Living ?
A similar Swiss COST of Living to accompany this Swiss STANDARD of Living ?
Do we need this Swiss Standard of Living - when the bulk of the tertiary educated that form the future Middle Class (hopefully ?) is in debt for their entire Working Life ?
Can it be achievable when the meagre pay of a tertiary educated person is spent on - repaying their education loands to their parent's CPF account, paying for a preferred Swiss Standard of Living of owning a HOME built according to Standard COMPARABLE to the Swiss - (with a car included, clothings, lifestyle expenses) ?
(5) Vibrant and socially active citizenry supportive of one another.
Is this not reminiscent to the Gracious Living concept propounded by GCT ?
What has happened to it, when Singaporeans jump Q to be first in line for anything that is FREE, or to beat the crowd in the rat race to get to the front of the line - alia the Traffic Condition at the Causeway or Tuas check points ?
