Singaporeans are an apathetic lot when it comes to politics. I don't think a charity scandal is going to affect the way Singaporeans see politics.
Agreed that Singaporeans are apathetic. They go for small goodies and will now and for many years to come will have to suffer the consequences e.g. full-blast tax-and-full-cost-recovery excesses, causing general downgrade of economic competitiveness and citizens' voting by the feet with migration and thousands of braindrain and social discontent etc.
The core of leadership has been hurt by general lack of objectivity, accountability and transparency. NKF has aroused widespread discontent that will reduce votes for incumbents.
