I doubt it..I have never seen a taxi driver that goes below 50 km/h in the first lane...Originally posted by Gazelle:At the same time, should elderly taxi driver be ask to avoid travelling along the 1st lane because they are always like to hog the road?
try driving along the expressway around 9.30am to 11am in the morning, that is when most elderly taxi drivers goes to work. They dont do it at 50 but even at 70 or 80 is it bad enough. The problem is, even if you horn them, flash your beam etc...they will just ignore you totally. That to be is fustrating.Originally posted by oxford mushroom:I doubt it..I have never seen a taxi driver that goes below 50 km/h in the first lane...
I've encountered cabs that deploy a default high beam when they are on the first lane, irregardless. That vexes me no end.Originally posted by Gazelle:try driving along the expressway around 9.30am to 11am in the morning, that is when most elderly taxi drivers goes to work. The speed limit is 70-80 on expressways. They will be penalized by the taxi company in addition to the police if they are caught speeding, so they cannot exceed the speed limit. On the other hand, they want to go as far as the law will allow them to earn their living, so they stay on lane 1 whenever possible.Originally posted by Gazelle:try driving along the expressway around 9.30am to 11am in the morning, that is when most elderly taxi drivers goes to work. I am not trying to blame them. infact I am more concern about the safety of the taxi driver and the passenger. to the extent, I actually tell my wife that whenever you take a taxi make sure you belt up and dont sleep. if the driver is driving too fast just tell him please drive safely.Originally posted by oxford mushroom:The speed limit is 70-80 on expressways. How to blame them?
