US and Israel is not the centre of the earth. Their policies have extended beyong their securties. Not to go into conspiracy theories, but Israel is no saint either and should equate everything to it's own securities. Accountablility is also called Karma. Just my personal ranting. sorry.Originally posted by LazerLordz:He made the call and he did so with two brass ones.
Respect the man for the security he brought to Israel.
Well, different strokes for different folks.I'm pro Israeli to a certain extent, so that's that.Originally posted by MobyDog:US and Israel is not the centre of the earth. I'm that too for many years and I seldom question their methods. But this few years have changed my perception somewhat. They are now acting that they could just do anything they wished, and seemed addicted to overlord mentality.. which is sad. Of course, I understand the palestinian's aggression, but shooting unarmed kids are getting regular.Originally posted by LazerLordz:Well, different strokes for different folks.I'm pro Israeli to a certain extent, so that's that.
They have done certain things that are not right, but I would still give them the benefit of the doubt.
I'm thinking that their government and the Israeli people share a different view of things, which is why there is a split between Kadima, Likud and Labor.Originally posted by MobyDog:I'm that too for many years and I seldom question their methods. I agree. like US dun support the Kyoto Protocol at gov level but down under, the people are embracing Mother Earth.Originally posted by LazerLordz:I'm thinking that their government and the Israeli people share a different view of things, which is why there is a split between Kadima, Likud and Labor.
On the other hand, there are Palestinians and Israelis who increasingly realise they cannot do without each other. It's the ordinary folks who suffer, and the rate of conscientous objection in the armed forces is climbing..
People may not lead but people collectively have certain wishes - be peaceful, co-exist and get along with one another in this world as this is the only world god has made for them to live in.Originally posted by LazerLordz:I'm thinking that their government and the Israeli people share a different view of things, which is why there is a split between Kadima, Likud and Labor.

there has been not sucide bombing in Israel for sometime now. Guess moving out of Gaza is working.Originally posted by wheelie:no, it is actually a win-win for him. If giving up some land to Pales and they showed that they can admin their land properly, all the better for both. But if Pales continue their plunder for more blood and lives, Sharon will have a reason to force peace on them. Think Bush and Sharon got hold some coffee talk on this.
Leaders who frequently justify their past actions without producing results and improvements are not resourceful enough to look at the bigger picture.Originally posted by LazerLordz:It takes a leader to make decisions, but it takes a statesman to admit that some of them were wrong and take steps to rectify them.
I can't see beyond those who when faced with a crisis, attempt to justify what has been done, through a warped sense of logic only a few subscribe to.
just like LKY huh? LKY rocks!!Originally posted by robertteh:Leaders who frequently justify their past actions without producing results and improvements are not resourceful enough to look at the bigger picture.
Leaders will greater visions and resources will see many possibilities to change and turn the situations to greater win-win situation to benefit all.
Such leaders will not be satisfied with merely maintaining whatever progress they have made but will use their resourcefulness to forge ahead with other equally challenging tasks they themselves cannot accomplish and let other do so for them.
That is what leadership is all about - applications of resources and accomplishing challenges through others. That is how Singapore's own talents need to be motivated by greater leaders who have all these qualities so that the people will be more competitive and keep up with the time.
