Have you read how PAP upstarts who are not even full ministers brush him aside with utter disrespect? Have you witnessed the antics of the PAP running candidate Mr Seetoh and his propaganda campaigns?
How ordinary do you consider him, seeing as how he stood up to all the years of stick and remained diginifed? Even MM Lee gracious acknowledged him as a gentleman and a worthy opponent. If he proves so ordinary, how is it that the ruling party have failed to wrest Potong Pasir from him in every attempt?
Isn't it in everyone's best interest that he remains as long as he can to continually illustrate how one-sided the local political scene has become?
Just because he does not possess the millions of reserves available to the ruling party, does that mean he cannot make a difference? -

Chaim See Tong has done an excellent job in Potong Pasir in the resident's context. Here's a few example...
1) He spends his own money to rectify public defects when the government refuse to give him money to do so
2) He visit every single funeral and offer his condonlence in his constituency
3) He build facitilities that touches the heart of the residents.. (i.e. benches for the elderly, brick well for burning incense etc...)
4) You don't get fined for carpark in Potong Pasir !!
What has any PAP done to touch the heart of the people?? Upgrading? They only cause more inconvenience. -
I can say that Mr Chiam is a man of honourable conduct and one of the finest, gentlemanly MPs that Singapore has produced.He's done quite a lot with so little, and his residents have stood by him all thise while, and in fact, I believe he's one of the few MPs who actually stay in close proximity to his ward?

As far as I am concerned, CST has done a very good job, his conduct honorable and he is a representation of the much oppressed opposition in Singapore. -

Chiam See Tong is a national icon and I think he's shown greater leadership
spirit than Lee Kuan Yew and those in PAP.
Like David, he's got the guts to stand up and alone in taking on Goliath.
He could have just quit and join the PAP and draw fabulous pay checks but that's not what he believes in and practises.
He's a true Singaporean to come forward and serve his country at his own expense.
The kind of spirit he's shown us makes him worthy to be even President.
He's a man with a big heart for the country.
Tell me, how many people truly come forward and join with big hearts? -
