George yeo is our best bet. He is a smart guy and well liked by all. the only way to get rid of Lee Hsien Loong is to vote him out of his constituency of marine parade in the next election. i'm sure many singaporeans will be happy to see him go. i dont think people mind having the PAP around. but it seems like PAP=LHL or LKY. i dont think thats the case. there are many other strong candidates to run for prime ministership. people like George Yeo or maybe as highlighted by many others, Teo Chee Hean.

i feel the whole lot of ministers now are YES men none worthy to be the next PM. There was a chap who was an MP sometime back Hong ---(cannot remember his name, who l i believe is now a lecturer in one of our tertiary instituion who has charisma but unfortunately did not last long within PAP.

For the rest, yes I agree with claudetnt, the current atmoshpere is so stifled that people who have the capability and capacity to contribute refrain from doing so because of the established regime of the political party they were handpicked to join. Its more of a master slave relationship and those who value their intellectual freedom do not last too long. Only if you are willing to conpromise and tow the party line will you succeed in moving up the pecking order. However without a oposition this cannot be acheived, given all the ingenious effort by the people in power to have a own oposition voice present to negate a need for a oposition to question, query and srutinise thier claims.
Its always been "we know the best" but everyone who traces the history will know that most of the so called brilliant policies have falied the test of time. -

the last thing we need is yet another SAF scholar and someone who would promote elitism in our society.
PAP will do well to be lead by Koh boon wan. but given the PAP internal political bias towards certain scholars politican. i doubt Mr Koh will be consider.
he is one of few whom i respected from the PAP. -
