what point are u trying to sae here?Originally posted by Salman:It all depends on what kinda soldier the country makes of you.
If the country makes their soldiers shoot unarmed protestors like tianamen, then its no good to be a soldier.
If the country trains its soldiers to defend the country and freedom, thats a good soldier.
i agree to a certain extent.Originally posted by ndsef:I still look at National Service as a training ground to make milk drinking boys into beer drinking adults.
Most guys will agree with me that NS has made them more manly. Ask any gal between 18 to 23, whether they like men who been through NS a not?
You like it or not, guys go through a change in their life in NS. We become more mature, since " With great powers comes great responsiblities".
Just to side track a bit, I was very suprise in my last ICT. Even though I was transfered to another platoon, me and my new platoon mates still fight side by side with the kind of coordination that only years of training could achieve. I think this is due to the standardized training programe that we all went through even though at different time. Incredible... since these guys are 5 years my junior....![]()
It means screw the 27th army. These are not honourable soldiers.Originally posted by huaqing:what point are u trying to sae here?

If they did, by now i would have already developed my music talents. See, now i'm gonna serve NS because of my mum. How i wish i can pay 3K and stay out of this place. I really like other country. peace.
If as a soldier, I am told to shoot unarmed civilians with live bullets, I will disobey orders.Originally posted by M©+square:Huh? Don't make sense.
You've mentioned the country. Yes, it's the country that decides on how the soldiers will be disciplined and conduct.
Out of point la.
but if the solider is told to shoot protestors because the protestors listened to USA?Originally posted by Salman:If as a soldier, I am told to shoot unarmed civilians with live bullets, I will disobey orders.
now the Tian An Men incident is a mystery which different ppl have different versions of the story.Originally posted by Salman:It doesn't matter whether they listen to their mamas, USA or their conscience, there is no justification for shooting unarmed protestors with live bullets.
Communists degraded soldiering.
i already said that there is no evidenceOriginally posted by Salman:mystery? You mean the soldiers did not use live bullets on the protestors?
If your commander in chief told you to give "white horse" treatment to certain VIPs in your BMT camp, will you? Why?Originally posted by Salman:If as a soldier, I am told to shoot unarmed civilians with live bullets, I will disobey orders.
I bet the communists are saying the same thing about capitalists...Originally posted by Salman:It doesn't matter whether they listen to their mamas, USA or their conscience, there is no justification for shooting unarmed protestors with live bullets.

As an answer to huaqing, the use of blanks does not mean that no one will get hurt. All those who did their NS before will know that blanks fired under a certain range can cause serious injury.Originally posted by Salman:mystery? You mean the soldiers did not use live bullets on the protestors?
well i am not pro-communistsOriginally posted by SilverPal:As an answer to huaqing, the use of blanks does not mean that no one will get hurt. All those who did their NS before will know that blanks fired under a certain range can cause serious injury.

if u know so well then it means you were actually at the scene on that day?
well i think it is necessary to tell u once more that that time i was not even born yet and my house is in Chengdu and not Beijing okay?Originally posted by Salman:Does that mean the soldiesr did not use live bullets on protestors?
No one knows what happened? Or the comminists cover up?
My friends lived in Beijing at that time, they all told me that bullets were fired indiscriminately. One even entered my friend's house even though she wasn't involved.
