More young people getting into debt problems

I'm Chinese too, but I think this Chinese traditional ceremonies are stretching young couples' financial limits.
It also has a lot to do with Chinese face-saving tendencies such that people will go beyond their means to par up with others who don't have financial limitations.
I mean, look at people in America, they walk into a church and get married, go into a roadside diner and that's it! If that's all you have at the moment, do whatever that you can afford first. I don't give a !@#$ what others say!

When I first began, I had only a few dollars in my pocket. People looked down on me, called me names, labelled me, had no faith in me. But now, the same people who labelled me are keen to talk to me in parties and festive gatherings!
But I must say, my in-laws are wonderful people. They NEVER doubted my ability to succeed. Same goes to my wife - she went through all my crappy mistakes in business and she's still with me. That's why I buy her a car, nbow that I can.
But I know, nothing lasts.
I always say; when you're down, next is up. When you're up, next is down.
I guess, my next is down....

Well, I was bratty when I was younger.. hehehee I used to squander my money - had a drinking problem some 10 years ago. Recently, just managed to kick my 25 year smoking habit.

Biggest culprit is these legal Ah Long who would push their credit cards, credit lines, ready credit etc....
Of course these young people are also to be blame.

But by and large, most likely largely, is the 0% downpayment and 10 year car loan. The temptation is there... I was tempted too last year, was so damn urged to get committed to a Porche Boxer - but weeks of calculations woke me up! heheheheheee.. can die ah..
