WHY WHY WHY AM I USING SUCH A PATHETIC CONNECTION THAT EQUALS PROPABLY TO 56k ...AND I AM FREAKING PAYING 70 BUCKS FOR THIS SORT OF SPEED.
I PLAY WARCRAFT 3 AND EVER 2 SECONDS I GET A LAG SPIKE TAHT LAST FOR ABOUT 5 SECONDS AND I CAN EVEN DO ANYTHING AND I LOSE ESPECIALLY DURING PUBLIC HOLIDAYS WHICH IS THE ONLY TIME I GET TO PLAY. -

I get ping like >220 in USwest and the kind of lag spikes are those where by you screen freezes for a few seconds and then all of a sudden, the units will move at a x10 speed to compensate the lag period. This means during the spike, the game is run purely by AI!!
I just cannot believe that paying 70 bucks a month gives me this shit. -

its not about speed... i don't mind paying 80 a month for a 1500 as long as i don't lag as much as I am now in GAMES. The 6500 sounds good but I hardly ever hit that speed when DLing.

You probably have a lot of FREE downloaded applications running in your PC that's robbing you of bandwidth. And if you are those who use wireless without securing your network, don't blame Starhub for the lag. There are people who are sucking your bandwith. -
1. yr comp bo memory.
2. alot of ppl playing in yr area.. shared bandwidth, remember?
3. starhub doing maintainence. they do dat all the time, and they dun bother to inform ppl cuz it dun cut yr services.
4. servers lagging.
5. yr host lagging.
6. all of the above, or multiple.
now can robertteh somehow link this to the gahmen..

Hes talking about stability here, not speed. If your using wireless, use a wired LAN connection instead. Change new cables for your modem if it is old and if it still cannot improve, change plan lo... And I'm assuming your computer has no spyware processes running in the background

Talking about stability, if you are using wireless b/g, please throw your handphones somewhere. Stay away from television as well as the oven. They all operate at the same frequency, which is 2.4GHz.
