  Why is Eric Low featured in the banner???
  
  This is on Chap Goh Mei and what is he related to it???
  
  If he is the GOH why they must put his picture???
  
  Is this trying to woo voters to vote for him for the next GE????
  
  Is he as important as Goh Chok Tong and Lee Hsien Loong to get featured on the banner??? He is just an adviser to Hougang CCC and not Hougang SMC MP
  
  So your opinion???

  If the existing election laws prohibit under penalty any display of election posters without permission of election officer, then the rule should be upheld properly and equitably for fair treatment of all parties.
  
  Why outside election period do we have so many election-type posters everywhere to woo the voters of incumbent MPs ?
  
  If this is allowed then credits or points should be granted to any candidates in election to display equal amount of posters during non-election period as well.
  
  What do you all think about this suggestion to change our election poster display rules?

  The Ruling Political Party will stretch the limits of the Law, or interpret it in their own understanding so as to get that extra iota of mileage from any and every publicity to remind the constituents of the existence of the Member of Parliament for that constituency.
  
  For GRC areas, it is common sight to see the faces of all the GRC Members of Parliament on posters placed on the notice boards in the void deck of HDB.
  
  The frequent Ministerial walk-abouts to the different constituencies is already an election ploy in advance of any election.
  
  Even the Ruling Elite will also succumb to the 'kiasu' mentality
  
  It is totally shameless that the adviser to the Hong Kah C.C. is given more privileges than the Elected Member of Parliament for that constituency.
  
  From this instance, we should draw the conclusion that the C.C. is a Political Vehicle that is manipulated by the Ruling Party for its own selfish benefit.

  Could I call the police to complaint?
  
  Will the police investigate and take down the banner?

  oh well.. it won't be new news..
  
  there was a law passed by the parliament in 1992 that makes it illegal to for any media in Singapore to publish any political opinion. I didn't see that law was being used against Straits Times when they publish an article discrediting the Manifesto of the Workers' Party ( the 4 "time-bombs" ).
  
  However, that law was used to ban the movie "Singapore Rebel"..
